| Everything is going better with the little one. She learned how to suck I just have to help her get on the nipple and hold to it. For a baby that was "out" for over an hour she is amazing. Just want to say thank you to all of you yorkie talkers

| WOW!! We have very similar stories. Your Vicky even looks like my Lilly. Lilly's puppy Scout is 6 weeks now and doing great. Those first several weeks were scary but amazing. You can look under my threads for my story. Good luck... that puppy will be bonded to you in no time. They are right singletons latch on to your heart I am no expert but I am here for support if you need it. The people on YT were so much help to our family!

| Thank you for sharing your stories. Today is day 3 for us. I don't have a scale to weight my baby. However, I am doing whatever I can to make sure it is worm and nurses every couple hours. Vickie is feeling good. She is on antibiotics due to c-sec. She scared me a little this morning because she was hot. I've checked her temp and it was 102.5. I am watching her closely to make sure she is ok. The temp dropped to 102.0 in the afternoon. She doesn't leave her box unless she wants to pee and poh. She has great appetite as always. Before she was use to dry food and a little of selected table food. Now she doesn't want to touch it but there are other things she likes. I got some canned hill's prescription diet a/d from my vet and she loves it. I also feed her some baby food like veal, chicken and she drinks water mixed with goat milk. To supplement she is getting some nutrical. The only thing is I have to handfeed her since she does't have time to get out. I just want to make sure she gets enough to produce milk. Do you have any suggestions? I am planning to go to work tomorrow for half a day because things really piled up since Monday. She will not be alone for more than 5 hours and I will be very worried about her.

| I'm not a breeder but that temp seems high? I would definately get a scale because it is the only way you can tell if the baby is gaining and gaining is a huge deal. I just bought a small postal scale - way cheap! 5 hours seems like a really long time. I never left Lilly more than 1/2 hour or so. If someone is able to drop in and check her that would be best. Then next two weeks are really hard because being a young mom she needs you. I felt like I had a new born myself. Only after about 4 weeks did I trust her by herself for longer periods of time ( 2-3 hour stretches). That pup should be nursing all the time. Just like a new born baby about every 2 hours. The hard part with a single puppy is there are no siblings to help keep her warm if mom is not around. Good luck and again if you have questions about my experience I am here = )

| Has your little puppy been moving around a lot? She should be very active and be able to move quite a distance to get to her mother. She has beautiful dark coloring. It sounds like Vickie is a wonderful Mamma . |
