Katie woke me up this morning in a panic and it didn't take long to figure out it was time for puppies! She was very scared and ended up having puppy #1 in mommy's lap! The vet had told us the xray showed 2, possibly 3. Well guess what! We had 4 and number 4 was a big surprise! They are very small...2-3.25 oz. Number 4 has what I believe to be an umbilical hernia? so we are on our way to the vet. I will post pics as soon as I can. I thought I would be on here asking a bunch of questions but things went so fast I didn't even have time!

I just had to tell someone, we are so excited. Katie is being a wonderful mommy, I just hope taking the little one to the vet won't stress her out to much. Be back soon.

Congratulations!! I would take them all in, that way none of them are away from mom for too long. Have they all been nursing well? Is the one you are concerned about cord bleeding or anything? I hope all goes well and keep us posted!

The other 3 puppies are doing great. They are nursing good and resting good.

ok, just to update everyone, puppy #4 did not make it, but we still have 3 very healthy happy females. Katie is so proud of them and so are we! She is a little nervous since the other one is gone but I think she will do fine. I have to figure out how to post some pics but they are coming I promise.
