| Sire weighs 3lb. 12oz. and Dam weighs 6lbs. She only had 3 in the litter and they have huge round, fat bellies from the extra milk. I really don't expect them to be over 6lbs. full grown because even the grandparents were under 6lbs.

| Those are some big healthy puppies! Have you had previously litters from these two before. Is that why you are saying 6 pounds max - because it seems like they are going to be over the standard weight in my opinion. |

| my vet advised me at 12 weeks, times the weight by 3 and he was right on with both of my pups. it is so funny how my new babies are all different sizes. i have a huge huge huge girl who i think might hit 9-11 lbs and a little girl who might hit 4lbs and the others will probably be 7 lbs.

| I've always been told triple the weight at 8 weeks and only double at 12 weeks, but of course this is just a a guestimate. My babies are weighing 1# 9oz., and the other two are weighing 1#12 oz. So by that rule they should be 4 1/2 pounds and just slightly over 5. Looking at the bone structure and parents though I think the smallest will barely make 4; the little girl will be very compact and small and won't ever see 5#s and one of the boys might see 5, but barely. Dad is 3#14oz., Mom is 4#12oz with similar backgrounds on both sides. I know how important size is to most buyers - I really wish I had some way to look into the future. |

| I wish I could look into the future and know for sure about these guys too. I guess the main reason that I think their weight will be under 6 is because of bone structure. They have little bitty heads and these huge, fat bellies! They really are butterballs! This is my first litter with her, but she has been bred to this same stud before and the puppies never got past 6lbs. I guess if it was a throwback to somewhere way back in the lines. I'm definitely not an expert by any means on guessing weight!

| They are cute! It is amazing how different they look than your other litter. They all start out looking so similar....like little Rotties or Dobes....and in a short period of time start looking like little Yorkies . |

Oh I know! I am surprised at how different that they look too. Especially since they have the same sire!

If 1.6 means 1 pounds 6 oz. then tripling would be 4 pound 2 oz. | |
