| Meet Oliver! Hi everyone, Finally I have some time to introduce my little baby to YT. His name is Oliver, I affectionately call him Ollie Boo and sometimes Poopy boy lol. I know it's a bad pet name but I'm trying to potty train him and this boy is so stubborn. Anyway, he was born October 19, 2013 and is about 16 weeks now. I have had him for only a week though, and he is my first dog ever. I hope you can see it in the picture but he has one ear up and one is still floppy. He also did not have his tail docked, which i like. The previous owner did not have the hard copy of his shots record, only pictures of the record, which i can make out the DA2PP. He told me that's Oliver is current on all his shots and he shouldn't get his rabies shot till he's at least 6 months old. Is it true? Like I said earlier, we are trying to potty train this little guy but so far he hasn't shown any improvement. I try to take him out as much as I can, after naps, feedings and playtime like it was recommended. But doesn't matter how long I take him out for, he just plays and doesn't do his business. But as soon as I take him in, he would sneak off when I wasn't looking and does it. It's so frustrating because the outside world has so many stimulation and distractions that this little guy can't concentrate on doing what he's supposed to do. Other than that, Oliver is a wonderful puppy, he loves to play and loves to chill on my lap also. A little picky when it comes to food, but he is teething so I guess it's expected? Please click for picture Oliver's first pic |

| Welcome!! Our babies are the same age...Bailee was born October 12th. I am pee pad training her and just started taking outside on the leash as the winter has been very bad here in MI. Mine was also VERY PICKY but found a good combination of wet and dry food that she will eat. Bailee had her Rabies shot last week cause I started her in Puppy classes and they cannot attend unless they have the Rabies vaccination. Good Luck!!

| Adorable! I would suggest trying to potty pad train him first. Welcome to YT |

YT 2000 Club Member | I love the name Oliver! Yes, you should wait until he is 6 months to get his rabies shot. Yorkies can be very stubborn when it come to potty training. Oliver is so adorable! Welcome to YT!

| Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I have learned so much from YT and am so thankful for all the information I found here. Oliver loves canned food but I'm determined to put him on dry food only since I believe it's better for him (and I don't have to deal with a dirty mouth and bad breath lol). We're currently feeding him Wellness and seems like it's working out fine. I still don't know how much is the right amount of food for him though. I just give him as much as he's willing to eat for now (around 1/2 cup a day). Thanks God he loves to snack on Pup-peroni and apple! He's in love with apple! He finally goes potty on his puppy pad!! (Happy dance here!) The only problem is he would go on his puppy pad in his play pen upstairs. But when we are downstairs, he just goes wherever even though I try to train him to go on the puppy pad in the kitchen also. Do you think we are confusing him with two potty spots in the house? Here's some more pictures of this boy. Oliver and his favorite toy Oliver's weird sleeping habit |

| I had 3 pee pee pads on our main floor. One in the kitchen which was the spot I wanted to be the only one, and 2 in our family area. Our house is small so there isnt alot of space in between. I figured I would catch her in both rooms. I have eliminated 1 of the pads and am down to just the 2. I am also trying to bell train her to go in the garage. Because of where we live, I cannot depend on her pottying outside unless I take her on a leash. Its funny...she will sleep in her crate from from 11 pm until 6:30 and can hold it, but pee's a millions times a day! Still having 2-3 accidents on the carpet daily.

I wonder if your puppy is the the same but my Oliver needs two pads together: one for #1 and one for #2. At first it's a bit messy since he walks around when he does #2 but now he fits it all on one pad (proud mommy!). When I catch him in the middle if an accident, I would clap my hands and pick him up, bring him to his pads but he usually just stops all together and refuses to stay on the pads. I found that he almost always go when we are not in the room, even when he goes on his pads. I understand he needs his privacy but it's hard to catch him making mistakes if he's always sneaking around | |

| Love the support on YT !! It reminds me I'm not alone! Bailee likes "fresh" pee pads daily. It seems that if there are too many pee spots she won't go on them. I hardly ever get to catch her in the act...she has way too much freedom as we only crate her at night for sleep or if we are not home. I have geted off my kitchen so I can keep her i there so I dont have to constantly jump up and see where she is going.

| Oliver is spoiled, he won't go on pad he already used. But also I clean up right away because I'm afraid it'll get too smelly. But gosh these wee wee pads become our biggest expense on him so far. It's great our babies are around the same age so I can learn see what you guys are doing differently with your pups. For example how much and how often do you feed your pups? |

| There's another dog on YT named Oliver(a chocolate Yorkie) whom I adore and yours is every bit the doll also. Love the name alone but paired with a darling Yorkie, can't beat it. What a precious pup!
