Lillie Belle had 4 puppies I am a first time breeder and have decided this is not for me. I thought I was prepared but you can never be prepared emotionally for when its time to get an emergency csection. The 3boys and 1girl are doing great and today day 2 mama is barely getting up to walk around. Baby boy #1 was stuck in the canal at his ribs, she had big babies weighing from 5.0oz to 5.6oz and she is only 6lbs pre pregnancy. Baby #3 placenta was detached so we acted just in time. It was very scary till we saw that all 4 babies had made it. I know we are still not out of the woods with healthy mama and babies but I am exhausted emotionally. I want to say thank you to all breeders here for your hard work and dedication for such gorgeous Yorkies here on earth

| Welcome to YT - glad to hear the babies are okay and I pray your little girl makes a full recovery. There is a lot to learn about babies and I believe you have come to right place. Good luck!

Breeders can talk and talk and talk and tell people that are all enamoured with the concept of "being a breeder", but they just can not imagine the crap shoot they are getting involved in, actually doing it....if everyone could go through what you just went through, THAT separates the wheat from the shaft....the only thing that didnt happen to you, is the babies didnt all die along with their momma. THAT is the ultimate emotional involvement! I AM HAPPY YOU CAME OUT OF THIS ESSENTIALLY UNSCATHED, A LITTLE POORER FOR THE EXPERIENCE, BUT YOU STILL HAVE YOUR PRECIOUS MOMMA AND HER 4 BABIES. Congratulations for surviving the experience....now love your momma and remember you dont ever want to risk HER life again!!!

Mama and pups are doing GREAT Lillie gets her staples off this week and I am so looking forward to that day, she needs a nice warm bathe. All 4 babies are doing so well, we have had a few set backs and recover well. I am so exhausted emotionally already and the fun has just begun They are very active for their age, we have gone through 2 living areas because they crawl out, today I have to make another one because I found 2 babies in mamas bed in the middle of the night. It seems she is trying to put them on a schedule because they nurse all the time and she is starting to space it out to about once every hour and they follow their nose to her. They are all gaining weight so there is no worries on her spacing the feedings. They are 12 days old and the cutest lil things ever...

This was NOT an easy Breeding, Whelping, Raising puppies experience....People leave it to the experienced breeders. I know we all have to start somewhere but OH you can never be prepared enough!!!
