| Well congratulations "grandma" Can't wait to see these babies. I had a friend who's Yorkie had six and she would let three nurse the mom while she fed the other three, then the next feeding she would switch puppies. This way all the pups were well fed.

| Oh my goodness! What a lot of fun! 8 puppies! That is a lot and they are good sized too. Make sure to get some calcium. I would ask the vet if he would give you some liquid you can give her by mouth with the syringe. You can also ask if a 1/2 a Tums a day would do. But with that many pups -- she is going to need extra calcium. Make sure she is getting a premium puppy food too (it is a little higher in calories too). Giving her extra treats of yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. mixed with her food or separate is a good idea too. I am grinning ear to ear at all the fun you are going to have when they get to running around. I sure loved having puppies in the house. Congrats!
