Baby Chan! First day with me... After careful consideration I finally picked my baby girl and she is home with me now : ) She is the most beautiful daughter and I love her! So I'm a little concerned, she's really sleepy. Only nibbled at her food and only out of my hand. Gave her two finger tips of forti cal. She loves that stuff! Had only a little water. She just seems so... tired. I know she is probably terrified! And sad too. I'm worried and just wanted any input from people who have gone through this before. Suggestions? Thanks all! Can not wait to start posting photos!!!

Welcome and congratulations on your new baby. How old is she? If it is her first day home give her some time. She will start to play and be more active as she gets more comfortable. Babies do sleep a lot and they also eat many small meals a day. Make sure you keep her warm and keep a close eye on her food intake. She should see your vet ASAP, just to make sure all is well.

I'm watching her like a hawk and now she has thrown up like three times. I am feeling so scared for her. She drinks water and then throws up. When I picked her up today she was healthy and playful but as soon as she got in the car, she changed. She has not eaten anything really. Just a few nibbles. I gave her nutri cal just two finger tips. I'm scared! Her vet appt. is Monday.

| Congrats on your little girl. Just keep a close eye on her. She might have gotten a little carsick. Make sure to keep her warm. I would maybe try to wet the kibble a little bit so it's not so hard. Is she drinking too fast? is what she is throwing up yellow? If so, this could be from not eating but it could just be nerves being in a new home. What was the breeder feeding? and how old is she?

Thank you! I'm happy but nervous as all first time mommies probably are. So I picked her up at 2, short ride home, only 30 minutes. She has been sleepy the whole day and as I said not eating or drinking much at all. Then when she threw up a few hours ago I started getting worried. Yes it is yellow and clear. Stomach acid from being empty? Poor girl is too sad to eat maybe? I feel awful. She drank quite a bit of water after the three times she threw up. Breeder was feeding her Kirkland Puppy Food mixed with Pedigree canned puppy food. I am open to changing the food in the future but I thought keeping her with this food would help comfort her during this new adjustment period. Any thoughts greatly appreciated : ) Also I don't know if I should crate her in this fragile state. I don't think I will be getting any sleep tonight...

Oh and she is three months old. Here is an update! Thank god! She ate a few cheerios and then she nibbled a bit more on her food (the kirkland puppy food mixed with pedigree puppy canned food). I want to get her to the vet SOON and wanted to take her tomorrow but there were no appts. So Monday is the earliest if I want her to go to the same vet (whom I love) as my kitty cat. She just seems a little bit perkier. So glad. I hope she poops soon : ) I wanna see how it looks! She has not gone yet!
