| Question on a possibly preggie little lady Hi all, Our little lady Mistletoe looks to be hanging a little heavy in the rear with swollen teats. She turns 2 in November and I thought I would ask the experts here: 1) Is there an easy way to tell if out lady is pregnant? 2) If she is pregnant, how long before she could be due? 3) How many puppies are the usual for a first litter? We have such teeny little yorkies that we're worried that she'll be ok... at 6.5 lbs (our little man Scrappy is only 4.5 lbs) that's our main fear is that she could have complications.... Any advice would be a great help to us and our little lady Thanks |

| she is plenty big enough to breed but sometimes even the big ones have complications. Hopefully, you won't. Do you have any idea when she got breed? Sounds like you don't. if she is bagging down already she is pretty far along. You need to take her to the vet for an ultrasoundd if she is at lwast 29 days from breeding or if you think she is farther along than that, get an x-ray. there is no way to tell without those two things how many puppies she might have. Often, first time mamas only have one. You might be able to palpate the puppies but only an experienced person should even try to do that. |

| When was she in heat? When did she breed? My Kalina just had her first litter and she had 3 very, very tiny puppies. She is also 6 1/2 lbs. Good luck.
