Daisy's first litter Jan 5, 2009 Daisy and I just had our first puppy ever....Daisy is 3 yrs old and 9#. The daddy is so small (5#)we had quite a time getting puppies without a ladder. The first puppy is a little boy and is 5.8 oz. I was surprized the puppy was so big. I can't remember where the chart is that tells about the birth weight and the approx. adult size. If any one remembers where to find it, I would appreciate it. Also Daisy is really licking at the cord. Is this normal? I think it has finally quit seeping blood. She took the tie right off. Her after birth is out. Also how long before I should be concerned about the puppy beginning to suckle. He is trying to find lunch but so far no luck. He is 1 hour old. Anita (Nervous mommy)

Daisy just had another boy. 6.6 oz She has some green on the bed. I don't know which end it came from, or if it's from the puppies. Any body see this before? It looks like Bile. The puppies and mommy are full of energy so I know everything is OK.

| Sorry, I don't know anything about it, but you might get more responses if you post in the Breeders section. Congratulations and good luck, and keep us posted on the new litter.

My best friend has been waiting for a puppy from Daisy and Skippy for a year. I believe she is taking one. I have a fewl months to go yet before I can think about where they will go. We got Skippy and Daisy at 8 weeks old. I really think 9 or 10 would be much better. I hate to see puppies not eating well when they are adopted. They are so fragile.

My husband and I took the two puppies and mom to the vet today to get them checked and their puppy tails docked and dew paws done. It all went well and the babies are growing and have each gained 2 oz in three days. Thanks For all your help.

Puppies at 4 weeks We took their 4 weeks pictures today. Aren't they cute. They just started playing and walk well but can't run yet without falling. Puppy #1 on right is 26 oz. He is very mellow and passive not demanding, just like his dad. Puppy #2 on left is 29 oz. Very active and ornery like his mom. He actually barks to get her attention. 4weeks80.JPG
