|  Pearl's babies Here's some pics of Pearl's babies born 6-30-08. She had 3 boys, 1 girl. All are doing great. These pics are only of the little girl and 1 of her brothers. She is the smallest (2.7 oz.) and he is the biggest of the litter (5.9 oz.). All have had a weight gain since yesterday and are doing very well.    |

| Thanks, all, for the good wishes. The pups seem to have worked out a system already. The two bigger boys nurse first, then, while they sleep, the two little ones take their turn. There's no fighting for nipples this way and Pearl is content to let them take their time nursing. I still can't stop hovering around them though, just to make sure all is well LOL. |

| Well, time flies and Pearl's babies are already 11 weeks old. They've grown so fast and are really turning into little sweeties. Here's some pictures I took yesterday of them. The first one is the biggest boy. he's now 2 lbs. 12 oz.. Next is his brother who now weighs 2 lbs. 2 oz.. Then we have the two little ones. The third pic is of our little man, who weighs 1 lb. 10 oz.. Last is of the only girl. She weighs 1 lb. 8 oz.. For some reason, my wife says she's not as cute as her brothers so I call her Ugly Betty . They're all doing great and love to play and give kisses. Puppies are so cute at this age. They're still babies in many ways but are showing that unmistakeable Yorkie spunk. One minute they're ready to take on the world and the next they're ready for a nap. Such is the life...... |
