We just had a litter of 7 and it was hard but once I placed them in homes that I felt would care for them like I would I was at ease. I do keep in contact with all 7 and they are so cute and well taken care of.

It was exciting around here...One of the pups eyes opened....how adorable he is. Today both my girls have one eye open. Everyday gets more exciting to see the changes.

We had a litter (one and only) from my Shih Tzu and had 5 little ones to sell. My boys were also small then they got very attached. We couldn't keep them but thought about it. We personally got very picky on who they were sold to. We turned a couple of people away because they were not suitable. There was a mom who came in with her son who had (ADHD) ,she told us about the little boy. The child was all over the place around the puppies. She was going to go to the ATM and bring the cash and we had to tell her NO. We never did it again and never will. My hubby and I do not have heart to do it.

They are adorable. To answer your question, about how you give them up my answer is a bit different. It is very difficult, and I always shed tears (usually in private, but not always). But... when someone comes into your home, sits on your floor and the love flows between pup and new mommy/daddy, then it meakes it a bit easier to let them go. When I realize that this new person can give my pups as much or more love than I can then it isn't so hard. When I say love I mean an all encompassing love that means this new person will take care of all of the babys needs, health, food, etc.

Looking at those cute cute faces I would love to keep them all. I have nine pups running all over my house right now and it looks like three may be staying

Gosh...I could never do it either. But I'm so glad that you guys are willing to trust us with your babies, otherwise I wouldn't be bringing home my little darling in just a few short weeks. You are providing so much joy to another family...

We try to do a balancing act by socializing the pups but not trying to make them 'ours'. It's hard, but we have to remember our responsibility is to prepare them for their forever homes and not treat them as if they were our own. That way, it's much easier on the pups to leave for their new home without too much separation anxiety. Also, screening prospective owners is a must. You have to feel comfortable that you've provided the best home possible for your babies. We have the new owners hang out for a while and bond with their new baby, hand feed it and play a bit before taking him/her home. It seems to make for a smooth transition for all concerned. The feedback we get from new owners tells us that this is working well; the pups fit right in to their new homes.

Ohh I am so glad..I am not the only one that tears up when it is time to place puppies in new homes...they are just like my kids to me..I just can't but worry about them...I have a girl and boy left out of my Molly's litter and they are 6wks old...if anyone knows someone..they will be ready in a few weeks and I don't think they will be over 4lbs...they go for their vet check today.
I don't know how to resize pictures..so you can see them at Home

I can only imagine how hard it would be I would keep every last one of them, Maybe keep an open adoption where they send pictures, and you get periodic visitation I hope that you find such good homes that you don't have to even think twice about how loved they will be.

ahhh I just love them!! How much do they weigh now at 6wks? I have one pup @ 4wks that is smaller than the other two. I keep wondering if she will be tiny pup.

Does anyone have any advise on how I can part with them easily? My boys will need some help too.

when you find the right homes you will know it... try puppyfind.com to advertise.. nearby owners will find you and you can phone and email screen. i sold mine in 3 weeks to local people.. i would not advertise in the local paper. cuz im afraid of puppy thieves

keep them until the right forever fam comes along.. i prayed for them and i got my prayer answered..

It was one of the hardest things I did with two of the four pups. I told my DH that if I can not find the perfect home we are going to keep all four ( we kept two). Anyway, after much interviewing I found the perfect homes for both of them. They will be two years old in August and I look forward to another birthday party. They are both so happy and love their families. Listen to your gut feeling with people and ask lots of questions.
