Lexi just whelped two puppies....she whelped her first one (male) at 7:20pm her second one (female) at 9:40pm not sure how many she'll be having since it was a surprise that she was expecting.

well I'm not sure but I think it's safe to say that we have just two puppies this time. Lexi is doing such a good job at being a mommy. She hasn't left the puppies side. I tried to put them in a little box for her so that she could nurse but she took them right out and placed them back on the blanket where she whelped. I just worry about the puppies being smothered by the blanket. Looks like I can get some shut eye for the time being now that there aren't any more pups coming out tonight. I'll post again if anything changes. Thanks to all that have inquired to the post.

Congratulations on the holiday puppies! I have a Lexie too...she had a litter of 4 in October. We have just one still with us right now. You are in for alot of fun!

Well Lexi is doing well she's actually being very very motherly compared to her first litter. We are in the same boat again this year with the pregnancies. I'm also expecting again this March 08 it's another girl. So as you can see our household is well working overtime on the offspring as my parents would say. I* haven't had time to post the pics or any of the info on the puppies especially with having a 10 month old running all over the house. I hope to get some up as soon as the hubby gets home.

Do you have a waiting list for your pups? You said this was her second litter? How big did the first litter turn out to be, weight size as adults?

she had 6 pups her first litter. they range from 4 to 5 1/2 lbs.

That is a extra Christmas surprise!! Is your male the daddy?
