Looking for AKC female puppy in CA, nearby, or shipped

I'm looking for a female AKC yorkie puppy. I'm in CA, but I'm willing to have one shipped or may travel depending on distance. I want a girl who will be 5 to 6 pounds as an adult. I'd like to get one that is still a puppy.

Prefer champion sired or at least very nice pedigree with champion lines, bred from parents with necessary health testing done, blue, silk.

Did you check YTCA.org breeder section.

Remember anyone can advertise on the AKC classifieds. Just have to pay their required fee. AKC does not check them out.

Yep, some have been known to lie about being YTCA members. Breeder Classifieds were greatly opposed by the AKC delegates. Another way of finding good breeders, besides YTCA is going to the local all breed club, they have breeder referral there.

It's a difficult world out there, the only way to protect one self is educate yourself.

Did you see the list of breeders on the website for the specialty show?

Those were all local breeders Rosemead, Chino , Orange County ...... give me a call the guy that puts together that website is a good friend of mine and know alot of those breeders for years.

Another great source of reference for reputable breeders is yorkies.com. Steve Glass's web site.

I forgot about Stephen Glass. I "met" him in his yorkie chat back when I got Chloe. He gave me some great tips on breaking some bad puppy habits (such as biting).
