Help me Yorkie Community! Looking for Yorkie in San Francisco Hey everyone, My girlfriend and I aver very interested in buying a Yorkie pup. We live in SF and we cannot find a single breeder in our area and there is only two pet stores that have dogs in it that we know of. We really want to buy ourselves a Yorkie but we only would purchase one after seeing it in person. Does anyone know any stores or breeders in the Bay Area/SF Area? Can someone please help us. Any additional info please email me at: g.brick52087@gmail.com

That's great that you've decided to get a Yorkie! You can visit http://www.ytca.org for a list of responsible breeders. Please don't buy a Yorkie or any other puppy from a pet store. All the puppies look adorable, but most of the ones sold at pet stores come from puppy mills that are only interested in making profit and not healthy and well-socialized dogs. Often you will end up paying thousands more in a pet store puppy's vet bills than you would have if you would have gone to a responsible breeder instead. If you're not sure what a puppy mill is please take a look at this http://stoppuppymills.org/vidphoto.html Please keep us updated because I'd love to see pictures when you get your new puppy! Good luck finding your new baby!

Thanks Desiree! Those poor puppies. I will look for a suitable breeder, I did check the website that you have provided - but if anyone has any other information it is much appreciated. I will post a picture of my pup if or when i get it. Thanks!

Thanks I want to thank everyone for their help. The Yorkie community sure pulled though when I needed help. When I get my puppy I was also wondering if anyone can tell me some signs to look for when choosing a healthy pup. I also will post a picture of the little guy when I get one if everyone would like. Thanks again!
