| Looking For Yorkie My husband's co-worker, Jacob, is looking to buy a Yorkie pup for his fiance. Sex doesn't matter ... male or female, she will love both. She is a big Yorkie fan and has wanted one for a long time. They would like to pup to be in the 5 lb range when full grown. They are also looking for a slightly older dog ... maybe around 4 or 5 months old but they are willing to get one younger if they find the right dog. If you know of anyone who has pups for sale, please let me know so that I can pass along their phone number to Jacob and he can get in touch with them. Jacob lives in Brooklyn but he is willing to travel for a healthy pup. He's heard me talk of puppy mills so much that he doesn't want to get a dog from a pet store ... only a breeder -- so I guess my big mouth paid off in a good way LOL He is also willing to wait if the pups aren't born yet ... he just wants to make sure above all that the dog is healthy. Thanks.

| If he does not want to support mills and back yard breeders, why not go to a rescue? Tell him to search for: yorkie rescue In any search engine. I don't know why people think that yorkies bred in people's homes are necessarily better than mill pups. A really reputable breeder knows all about the lines of a pup and does the breeding for the betterment of the breed...NOT to make money. There are far TOO MANY homeless yorkies now. Just my rant.... |

| So not true...I have four right now that I would put up against any from a breeder. Most of them were purchased and then ended up not to be what they were supposed to be. Here are two: www.yorkiehavenrescue.com/cody Those are before and after pics and he is a WONDERFUL pupster! And: www.ladyjane.net/george Just two of them. |

| Not that it all matters. If a person is looking to buy, then they are going to buy and I personally would not want to adopt to them anyway. I love the breed and hate what is being done to them, but I cannot fix things and need to ignore such stuff. |

Really, if you don't have any breeder references to offer, then please do not post anymore. I don't want this thread to get OFF-TOPIC any more than it already has. Thanks.
