| Hi....It's difficult to find any Yorkie breeders in SC, or reputable ones at least. I had to get my baby from a breeder in GA....look for breeders in near by states...sometimes they will meet you half way to deliver a pup ....Where in SC are you?......Good Luck on your search

| Hey hey speak for yourself. I am located in SC and my female is being bred right now. She is 4 pounds and has tested negative on all test. Mommy is 4 pounds and daddy is 3 pounds. She is gorgeous and he is not owned by me but is pretty also. She has light tan and blue and he is the darker colors. I will be able to confirm pregnancy after 45 days. My site is carolinayorkies.tripod.com. I am not a mill and only own 2 dogs. I have been told by numerous people that my femla eis show quality. If she doesn't produce puppies she will start showing ASAP in Kansas. Keep in touch and I will provide updates. |

| AND NEVER meet halfway to deliver a puppy. Unless you have dealt with the breeder before. You need to see where the dogs sleep, eat, do their business. It is important to see all of this. |

| I meant she could meet half way if she had to resort to shipping anyway...at least the breeder could bring the sire and dam and you could meet them, better then having them shipped....

| If she is looking to buy a dog in her home state, why would shipping be necessary? I have had my male flown to me but I did complete checks on my breeder. I also got opinions about them from other breeders in their area. They had a very good reputation. I would NEVER meet someone and ask them to bring their dogs. That, IMHO, is very unprofessional in the first place. A buyer will come to me or check me out and pay for flight. I encourage pick-up and prefer it but it's not always possible so I would be gladly obliged to provide pictures and refernces, even give you my neighbors numbers and let them say whatever they want. Hopefully good, about me and my practices. ANY good breeder should go the extra mile to make the buyer feel comfortable and stand behind what they produce. NEVER meet halfway, and I'll leave it at that. =) |

| There is nothing wrong with meeting halfway, A LOT of breeders I know, OFFER it, I've never HAD to ask, so the "unprofessional" part is not on my behalf, if you call that unprofessional. And when I have met someone halfway, I have always talked to that breeder before the puppies were even born, or when they were still very young. They also usually will send pictures of their place, and puppies, and the sire and dam. Theres nothing wrong with meeting halfway as long as both parties involved are willing and want to. Some VERY reputable breeders will meet halfway. So, its really someones choice it does NOT make them a "bad breeder". I'll leave it at that! Last edited by yorkiesRmine; 05-24-2005 at 03:44 PM. |

| Then those breeders are not someone I would buy from or refer NOR will they ever be used by anyone that I know in the reputable show world. They said even pictures are deceiveing. I agree. How hard it is for a mill to take some pictures and "pass off" some dogs as theirs. There is a lot more to buying some dog and getting some pictures and getting fed a lot of lies. When you meet someone you put yourself at risk--if that's fine with you....Have at it. Not me. And it's a breeders chioce to breed dogs with health defects and pray some puppies aren't born with it. It's someone's choice to buy pet store puppies. Both BAD choices but theirs none the less. Breeders know the tricks to the trade....DO YOU? |

| Just ask Yorkiewillis@aol.com. She got 2 shunt babies from shadycreek and met her at some other place than her home. When you go there----you will run, not walk back to your car with money in hand, IF your smart that is. |

| All I can say is Yorkiewillis, must NOT have done her research and fully checked her out to her ability, and IF, thats a big IF, she did, than yea, sometimes crappy stuff happens, but you cant put ALL breeders that are willing to meet halfway in that catagory some are VERY reputable, you're giving breeders that meet halfway a BAD REP, and thats truly uncalled for!! | Ask and ye shall receive. But as far as needing someone to tell me I'm right. Thanks but no thanks. If I think for one second I am wrong, I wouldn't bother posting it. I think a reputable breeder would know who their selling to and can commute as they see fit BUT most sellers ARE not reputable by any means, sad but true. They are just out to make a buck and would place with Jim BOB and his Pittbull that has eaten little dogs before. LOL Jess, I hope you like glazed. I am a traditional doughnut eater AND I HAVE A SUPRISE FOR YOU GAL! YOU'LL SEE =) |
