| I'm not saying that they are good for breeding, I'm saying that the size of 5-6 lbs as an adult is a good breeding size. I would not encourage anyone to breed a small female dog, due to the harm that can be caused to the dog. I was simply stating that the 5-6 lbs was a decent size. I do thank you though for your concern.

That just sounded like an advertisement that an additional bonus of purchasing these pups would be because they should be a great for a breeding program because of their anticipated size at maturity alone. I simply must have taken it wrong. |

| Hi Marlene, Could you please post a few more pictures? Some of the parents and the puppies? Also, I forgot to ask you if you have any type of Health Guarantee? I know you have both parents (which is good) but do you know anything about their backgrounds? Do you already have papers for the pups? And how much do they weigh now? Thank You! cj

| Marlene, Did you tell the buyer about a possible heart murmur in the family? Please, I asked to to honest and post about several issues. If you don't... I will. These people have a right to know. gleim516 vbmenu_register("postmenu_506917", true); Senior Yorkie Talker http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/cus...atar3608_1.gif Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Arizona Posts: 144 Possible Heart Murmur Well Lexi went to the vet yesterday for her shots and well we were told some upsetting news. The vet said there may be a slight murmur that she heard. I was wondering if you all could help me or give me some advice. I'm really scared that it's going to be major. She's 4 months old and has been to the vet 3 times prior to this last visit and nothing of this sort ever came up. So my question is why now? Why is it that now she thinks she hears a slight murmur? Are there things that can be done to prevent it from getting worse? Lexi is very energetic and always playing with Harely so I'm really worried. Please help me.....Very Worried Mommy here. __________________ *~*Prince Harley & Princess Lexi's Mommy*~*

| As a matter of fact I responded to Connie's email and answered every question I never recieved anything back from her other than this new posting on the thread. Lexi was seen by a two different vets just to be sure about this mysterious heart murmur that the vet said she had. The vets gave her a clean bill of health there was no heart murmur found by the two other vets. I never made it a big deal after that because I hadn't been on the posting in a while once I found I was pregnant. I had been preoccupied with other things and didn't have any postings to do on yorkietalk at the moment. Once I found out that Lexi was expecting I began to ask question just like any novience person would with a pregnant dog. With the vets saying Lexi was clear of a heart murmur it was great news for my family. Had Lexi's so called murmur been confirmed by both the other vets she would have been spayed right away just to prevent any health risks if she were to become pregnant. As you can see she had puppies and she is healthy as can be I don't see why other's are now concerned about the heart murmur if it's not there. Just like with people I got a second and yet a third opinion just to be safe with my precious Lexi. All my pups and dogs are in good health I would not be selling sick pups nor trying to pass off the parents as healthy dogs if it weren't true. I think that if I want to be a part of this site that I must be honest and so yes at first Lexi's vet thought she had a heart murmur after going for two more opinions she was cleared of having any type of heart murmur.

| Heart Murmurs- Heart murmurs are funny things. I myself have a heart murmur, nothing major (MVP)- but it was only detected initially by ONE doctor. A pediatric cardiologist when I was...geesh, 15? And since then, maybe 1 out of 6 or 7 doctors will notice it while listening to my heart, but w/o a doubt it's there. This valve prolapse occurs in about 70% of the female population and goes unnoticed by many doctors. So, if one vet thought he heard something...I'd still be wondering myself. The only way I personally would rule it out w/ one of my dogs is to have an ultrasound done or see a cardiologist. In either case, have fun w/ the little one(s) while they're still around! OH! PS.....I also wanted to say, that if your Yorkie was suspected to have a murmur as a PUPPY, they CAN and often do in fact GROW OUT OF THEM. Depending on which valve is prolapsed and how bad. |
