| Looking for a beautiful female pup I am new to YorkieTalk, and I just would like to say hello to all! I am from New Jersey, and I am looking for a beautiful female yorkie pup to have a a house pet. I have done a lot of research on yorkies, and my knowledge of this wonderful breed continues to grow each day. I prefer a breeder that has experience with having show quality dogs, but will consider if the breeder reputable. My other preferences include: wt: 4-5 lbs. as an adult color:medium to dark tan, and dark blue or black hair texture: full, fluffy, and silky look: baby doll-like face disposition: calm, playful and spunky I am so excited towards becoming a prospective yorkie parent, and the search must begin! If anyone knows of any reputable breeders, that has quality dogs please feel free to PM me and/or my email address is porsha.dillard@gmail.com. Thanks everyone for your time. Porsha D.

| Hi Porsha. Welcome. I'm fairly new to YT too and I'm also from New Jersey. I'm mom to three Yorkies and one Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie). I can second Sylvan Yorkies. I have not seen their dogs but while looking I spoke with Stacey who is very nice. She was reccomended to me when I was looking. I would have traveled to Stacey, but through the Asbury Park Press found our Morkie after a woman bought her and could not keep her and listed her in the classifieds. She was only ten minutes from us and it was love at first site I don't have any other reccomendations to you but would like to tell you to say clear of a woman in Howell Twp. She often lists in the press. Her name is Joy. She is not reputable in that her Yorkies are not kept in good conditions. She's like a puppymill. My Noel came from her and she was sold as a full Yorkie and is now 16 pounds and we believe she is a Yorkie Poo. I wish you the best of luck in your seach. Word of warning. Yorkies are like potatoe chips - you can't just have one. LOL. They are addicting as is this site. Elaine |

| I highly reccommend Stacy (slyvanyorkies)...she's a member here ("Sylvan") and is an excellent breeder. She's in PA, not too far away. She may be able to help you. Good luck. |

| Looking for a breeder Hi! I just joined this forum today. My sweet 15 year old Yorkie died last week from kidney disease and I am quite devasted. My children are pretty freaked out as well. I have been searching the internet for reputable breeders as we would love to have another Yorkie, perhaps in a few months or so. We live in New York, right outside Manhattan. Can anyone suggest a local breeder? |
