| Help me find a Yorkiepoo for my mom... We just got our little guy about 3 weeks ago locally in Michigan... We took a trip to see my Mom in Indiana and over that weekend she fell in LOVE with our puppy (see my signature/profile for pics of buddy our yorkiepoo). I felt terrible leaving her place with my dog but my family is attached to him too! I did come home and contacted the lady I got him from but the entire litter was gone. My Mom is located in Northwest Indiana, and I drive there all the time to visit her from Michigan, does anyone know of any reasonable priced pups anywhere between Michigan and Northwest Indiana (even including Chicago or Wisconsin area?). I paid $350 for buddy here in Michigan, he has ckc papers (altho i didnt fill out and send in) was dewormed, shots, health guarantee, dew claws and tail done, great little pup I love him to death.. But it sure seems like all the yorkiepoo pups I see are starting at $600 and up. Anyone who could help me locate a yorkiepoo that isn't gonna cost me $600+ for my Mom in WI,IL,IN,MI area please let me know. Bill

| Bill, I'm soooo glad you are going this route and not breeding more dogs! Have you looked on Petfind or nextdaypets? Good luck!

| I have been looking around on the net as well as thru classifieds in my moms area as well as in my area but no luck (nothing we can afford) seems most are WELL over $600-$1500 range. Buddy here was $350 that I can do $$ wise, he's ckc and has tail and dewclaws done, and from my vet checks she says hes a great happy healthy pup, I guess I lucked out on that since every other yorkiepoo i see is easily double that price in ads.... I have thought about breeding him once for a pup for me and for my mom yet I would have to find a female and learn those ropes (how to etc) I wouldn't breed him more than once if I did that tho but man hes SO cool here I wish I had his brother too - I even called the lady and said if any of the pups come back for whatever reason please call me (sometimes you never know) but who knows how serious she thinks I am but I sure will call her in a week or so again to reconfirm how serious i am LOL... My BIGGEST regret is not taking his brother that day, there were two of them (last two of litter) and I took Buddy and left the brother who was gone later that same day... I know I would have given one of them to my mom at that point but I was close to taking two for myself as I wanted him to have a brother to play with and grow up with. Bill

| Bill, even if you have to pay more for one it will be much less expensive than breeding them--even once! There was a HUGE fight on here a week ago regarding breeding mixes! I don't want to get into that again, but many of us feel stringly about it one way or the other! I know your boy is adorable! Keep looking, one will turn up for your mother and it will be the very one she is supposed to have. There are also yorkies available on YT that need homes. Check the posts here if you haven't! Good luck!

| Realizing I know nothing about breeding you are 100% right I am sure.. I sure hope I can find her one though... I still wish I got buddys brother that day, I being a stay at home dad have plenty of time for him/them, the only reason i didn't was because I wasn't sure about the breed themselves, Buddy here is by far the best pup I have ever had - PERIOD. He is SO lovey and gentle yet playful and smart too! To be honest yes I have had dogs before as a kid etc but I never understood the huge pet market or pet stores where you take them in and shop around etc, now that I have Buddy here --- "I SOOO GET IT" ----- he is a big part of our family now! Thanks for the input most likely I will just keep looking...and hoping to find one for her soon for a reasonable price. Bill

| Hi Bill. I just checked the Chicago papers and found one Yorkie Poo for $600. This is the only yorkie mix I've found http://www.petfinder.com/pet.cgi?act...=0&tmpl=&stat=

| I have 2 little female Yorkiepoos.. I am in Ohio Hi There! I am located outside of Cleveland, OH. I have 2 little girls left for sale out of a litter of 4 girls. They are both dark apricot/red. Mom is an 11 lb mini poodle..very well bred, smart, sweet and not yappy. Dad is an awesome Yorkie weighing 6 lbs. They are both AKC..not CKC as I am not registering the litter. I am a vet tech and I was watching Mr. Dad for a client of ours when my poodle came into heat early (she'll be spayed VERY soon). Anyway, the puppies were born on May 11th, so they won't be ready to go until..atleast the 1st weekend in July. They will come with 2 sets of shots, 2X worming, a heartgard tab and frontline. Please email me if you are interested. I am asking 450.00 for the puppies and you just need 100.00 deposit to hold the puppy. I am off work on Wednesdays so that's when I take pictures and send email with updates about the puppies. Just let me know! Thanks so much, Carie 330-697-2739 P.S. I have one puppy going to Wisconsin and I had planned on meeting them in the Toledo area, maybe that would work for you. |

| Thanks for the info and reply, I should have popped in here the other day but things have been busy here lately, we did locate a litter for my mom of all black yorkiepoos (just like buddy here) and she is going to pick one out (already sent a deposit), just gotta wait till they are at 8 weeks to make the drive to them and pick one out... But thanks to all here who have emailed or replied with info as to how I can help my mom find one. Hopefully she will join up here too once she gets the pup! Bill

| Yes my mom does have a pc but doesn't use it for much other than work or emails, but I will tell her about this site once she gets her pup... If nothing else its fun to surf and learn thru prior posts and or just see lots of fun dog pictures Buddy is doing awesome, still working on pad training tho, today i got this spray that supposedly somehow attracts the dog to the place i spray it to pee... Put out a new pad today sprayed it, let buddy roam, and went back a bit later and YES a big yellow stain - not sure if it was the spray or luck or the fact I put a new pad out or what but gonna see how this spray works for the next few days... Now only wish we had a spray for pooping in the right area hehe... I have just invested in a hoover agility carpet cleaner (altho picking up after him is super simple and easy) just would like to keep everything fresh and the carpets needed it anyways... Lots of praise and a treat when and if I do see him using the pads. He is still affectionate as heck (total lap/neck dog) and cute as a button to me, got him to "speak" on command for a treat in the last few days (about 10 mins a day I just repeat the phrase SPEAK and give him a treat if he does it) and after about 3-4 days of that he caught on quick... Next will be sit, down, roll over, etc I want him trained to do lots of fun tricks my last dog was a mini poodle and he could do play dead, as well as walk walk walk (he would get on hind legs and hop as if to walk like us for about 10 feet). I am confident Buddy will catch on with the pad training soon and hoping the spray helps, slow but sure I will teach him more tricks. Time to get him groomed again, and shots are due at the end of this month again too, cant wait till our weather breaks a bit to take him out more... My daughter who is almost 5 really enjoys him too, altho Buddy likes to try and dominate her because she is smaller I guess, if she gets down on the floor he tries to jump on her, but never hurts her just more like rolling around playfull stuff... Bill
