| Looking for Yorkie in East Texas area Hi, Looking for a loving furbaby for my angel baby. My 16 year old has been through the trauma/drama mill this year. I could write a book. But she has had her heart set on a Yorkie baby to love all year. We're not looking for a show dog and we can't afford a whole lot but we're just looking for a pretty golden girl to love. We will consider a rescue but prefer a "home-style" baby to adopt. I would love to surprise my baby girl Christmas morning with a furbaby, I think a female-I hear they are easier to potty train. We live in East Texas, 1/2 way between Dallas and Shreveport off of I-20. I will pickup within a reasonable distance. Please help. Lisa |

| Thanks East Texas Thanks for the encouragement, I've been looking for a couple of weeks but we're starting to run out of time and I don't want to make the wrong choice. It's important that we get a healthy baby, as my baby can't take much more heartache. We will travel to dfw, arklatex or any other surrounding area. | I might have a lead for you! MIGHT!!! My husbands boss has a male and female yorkie. Both are altered. She adopted a baby a couple of years back and she is really considering rehoming the dogs. She doesn't have the time that they deserve right now between the baby and work. I don't know the specifics yet, but if you are interested let me know!!

| Thanks Baby03, The sooner you can find out and get me details the better. Are they brother and sister or from different stock? What do you mean by altered? and can you get me pics of both? We'd love a duo. Lisa cybercat@att.net |

| Sorry got back to you so late. Altered means they are both fixed. She had them both done when she got them. One is smaller than the other. I believe she will only give them to someone who can take both. I am working on getting pic's. They are not silings.

| Lisa, I have both a Male and three females and I can tell you from my experience that the females DO NOT train any easier. Yorkies are tough to train and can take up to a year and some NEVER fully potty train. What I will tell you is that my male who is now ten years old has never done a thing in the house since trained at around a year but my girls ages two and three occassionally will potty. Girls are more spiteful. A male is fine as long as he's been altered before six months. Both make great companions. Good Luck. Elaine |

| just a suggestion....instead of rushing into a choice...wrap a box full of puppy care items and put THAT under the tree, and then involve your daughter in the hunt for your new pup. best wishes in your search!

| Thank you all!!! Thank you all so much for your assistance and concern. We found our baby today! She's beautiful, black and gold, 11 weeks old, the runt! She has the blackest, silkiest hair and the perkiest ears. Jaclyn is going to absolutely adore her. She's being held until Christmas for us but I think I'll go back and get her before then . The ride home alone without her was a hard one. I know she's for my daughter but I want to name her Harley. I didn't think to get a pic of her while I was there Any other good ideas for names? Lisa

| It's So Wonderful That Your Just as Excited As Your Daughter You can hear it in your Email! The puppy will be loved and well taken care of for sure. It might be better to get her early rather than at Christmas during the excitement of everthing. This way she'll be acclimated to your home before the excitement starts. |

I'm thinking the same thing, we'll probably call tonight and make arrangements to go pick her up this weekend.
