Please post if you have recommendations for breeders or have yorkies available in Southern California
Hi YT, My family and I have been interested in getting a Yorkie for a while now. We would like it only as a pet, gender is unimportant, we have a fenced in yard and teenage daughters that are responsible and also want a dog. However the outrageous prices

(many of the dogs we've seen are over $2,000!) have been discouraging us in our search and our luck with rescues(we have been checking listings constantly) is not too good, although a rescue would be nice as well. If anyone has any information it would be appreciated.

I dont see any edit post tools on here so I am adding to my post in case it seems too vague.

I am looking for a dog under $1000 ( a tall order here in CA huh?). I think it's possible if I look hard enough. I will have the pet spayed/neutered since I only want a companion. I also would like to meet the puppies and their parents too if they are with their kids. I don't want to go out of state for a dog since I wouldn't be able to meet the dog and I don't want to have a dog shipped to me.

you should check out the rescue threads because I saw a 3 month old male for adoption! He's sooo super cute and I wish I lived closer but anyways you should check him out he's in Beverly Hills! Best Wishes!!:-D

thanks anyway I called regarding him last week! But now he is gone. Even though I search rescues all the time I never have much luck.

I looked on the local classifieds (I live in So Cal too) , here are a few links to puppies for sale they are between $500-1,100. Not bad for our area!! Please be careful when looking on local classifieds though, there are tons of scammers!!

I know its so hard, especially around here, to find anything under 2K

Hello there, I'm leaving for an overseas trip and must sell my 9 month old akc male Yorkie. He is housebroken & litterbox trained. I am including all his things with him that I have bought at Petsmart. Exercise pen, wire crate, car seat, travel bag, doggie purse, all his grooming accessories, case of wet food and dry food, his bowls, harness, collar, and leash. If you are interested please let me know. I am located in Victorville which is 25 minutes north of San Bernardino.

Your price goal is out of touch with what many sell for. Yet if you looked for a larger one, they can be found for $700.

Where exactly are you in southern california? We are from Alaska and just moved to Utah. My husband and or I will have to pick our car up in Los Ang in a couple weeks as it was shipped. We have 7wk old yorkie pups (2f and 1m left). Let me know if your interested, I know the prices are higher in CA. I found some cuties down there I really wanted when I first was looking, but 2-3K was a little high for me too. I have photos on a thread in the for sale/wanted section with photos. Ann
