She is located in Ohio. It is an adult female 6 years old that is not going to be bred anymore, she weighs about 5 to 5 1/2 pounds. She wants $400.00 for her, the dogs name is Teaspoon.

Sorry I am not trying to be rude, but generally yorkies are around $1000. If $400 still is too high of a price for you then I suggest you look into other types of dogs? Or you could try animal shelters, where you can adopt a yorkie, which would be around $100. Good Luck~

If you don't want to go the rescue route or shelter you will just have to save your money until you have enough. I don't know of any out there any cheaper than $400. I gave $500 for mine and I know that was cheap. Good Luck.

| usually dogs in rescue have been vetted and well checked over for problems, so at least you are well aware of what you are dealing with beforehand. Here are some more options www.unitedyorkierescue.org www.yorkierescue.com www.sosdogs.com www.yorkshireterrierrescue.net www.barkbytes.com/rescue/yorkie.htm Cheap yorkies are generally no bargain in the long run. If 400.00 seems like too much you may want to reconsider a yorkie for a pet right now. Care expenses are not cheap and vet bills can be astronomical ..and unexpected. Best of luck in your search.

Thank you for being honest. All of my furbabies are shelter rescues and have brought nothing but special delight to my world. I DO mean to be rude - please don't knock what you don't understand! There are amazing individuals working in rescue spending countless hours, money and even more heartache to help so many of God's creatures so that families like mine can adopt healthy and wonderful animals from shelters. If you can't afford the purchase - you WILL NOT be able to afford the upkeep and vet care that is necessary for ANY animal - and then this once healthy animal will be surrendered by you in an unfit state to shelter - where someone like me will give you former loved one a forever home! This is one of the reasons that even many rescue animals and/or breeder retirement dogs cost more than a tank of gas. Please - THINK LONG AND HARD BEFORE you adopt any animal!!!! It is not something you do just because you think its what you WANT. You have to consider the best interest of the animal for the long haul too!

Yes the person above said exactly what I WANTED to say.. Yorkies from shelters can be just as healthy and loving as Yorkies bought from homes. So yes you WERE being rude.
