| Looking for yorkie in Southern California Hey everyone! I've been browsing your site for quite a while now, and I have been looking for a yorkie to adopt in southern california. The reason is because of the passing away of my beloved Buddy who we found last year crossing a busy street She died from old age. My mom misses having a little Buddy follow you at home and wants another little lap dog, I agree. Our 'Gentle Giant' Sally (a 6 yr australian cattledog mix) has been missing a friend to play with outside when nobody's home. (Don't worry, our backyard is yorkie-safe )So, we definately have to get a yorkie this summer. WE DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A PUPPY! A 6 year old yorkie would be just fine A puppy is okay too, but there are so many older yorkies needing homes and puppies are SO expensive when older pups are just as sweet. So, does anyone have a yorkie up for adoption/know someone/know a rescue in the Anaheim, Orange County, Riverside area? My family's thinking early/mid June, and if not a yorkie, a little dog. I'll give a little more info about us if I find someone with the perfect yorkie, I'm paranoid with putting up personal info online But I suppose that's a good thing! So, is my little angel out there somewhere?

| Also, I have been on petfinder.com and have found a few yorkies in my area, but they keep getting adopted! But hey, atleast they're finding loving homes I've been watching the little bow wow dog rescue site, and they have quite a few cuties, they had a 4yr yorkie named Marley but his adoption was pending and then he disappeared! I never saw ADOPTED under his name. However Michele (foster mommy) is very busy so i'm sure it was a mistake. There is also another little yorkie guy on there but I'm afraid he's 9 years old and I'm looking for a yorkie a wee bit younger, I don't know what I'd do if I lost another little yorkie friend in a few years. Oh, here's the site! http://www.littlebowwowrescue.com/

| Have you tried this site? http://www.1-800-save-a-pet.com? You might also want to try the Recycler. http://www.unitedyorkierescue.org/lookingforlove.shtml http://www.yorkierescue.com/ One more. First of all this is a terrific & creative website. The directory is for local breeders but sometimes the breeders may be adopting out retired or older dogs or may know of a Yorkie in need of a home. I lied! One more. I saw a flier at VCA Arroyo Veterinary Clinic in Lake Forest for a male Yorkie in need of a home. You may want to call them to see if he is still available.

| Thankyou Corinne! I have also tried 1-800-save-a-pet, and I found one yorkie but he doesn't look very yorkie to me! I will try the other sites you suggested and let you know who I've found. I will also try to contact and see about the little male yorkie you told me about!

| Aww they are all so cute! I actually had my eye on Bodie but it looks like he got adopted! YoYo and Mr.York are cute too, wow, all of them are cute! I should check petfinder more often! I'll definately keep my eye on these pups! Hopefully I'll find my little angel soon. I also got mail from someone telling me about their little boy pup, so I might have found him already - but I'm still looking until late may/ early/ mid june!

| You know... I always believe THEY find YOU. The two of you will be together when the time and circumstances are right. It's only a matter of time! Can't wait until it's your turn!

| Corinne that is so true. I actually found Buddy last year crossing a horribly busy street and I was so scared that someone was going to make her roadkill. I told my mom that there was a dog crossing the street - she thought it was a paper bag- but it was Buddy! Buddy passed away St.Patricks day, and the day we found her was actually around St.Patricks day.. Ironic huh? I miss her so much.. Once again you're right, I actually have never really chosen any of my pets! My parents either get them for me, my friends find them, or someone else chooses them for me! It's weird. I can't wait until my new yorkie is at home with me.

Hi , Is that a picture of Buddy on your Avatar. She's precious! Sounds like you gave Buddy all the love you possibly could. What a precious thing it is knowing that she was so happy with you and that she left this world with so many people loving her. Here is the puppy (Parker) I am talking about. | |
