I am happy for all of you who had a good experience with Ivan at Quality Pups. That said, I urge you to do a search on this website to get even more feedback. Many of us did not have a positive experience. Good luck! Lizzie-

I dont think so!!!! I been threw numerous 25 page threads on here 3 yrs ago i really dont think that ivan's pups are from puppy mills. When i was looking 3 yrs ago i did alot of reseach even lost a deposit almost making a mistake of buying a pup from a pet shop. I could see how you can assume it is a pet shop b/c he has a store front by a train station but when you walk in his store i dont fell like in a pet shop. I would get another puppy there without a doubt.

Are you from Brooklyn too???
I am from Brooklyn and I agree that the puppies from Puppy Boutique are from a puppy mill. So many puppies in a cage and very agressive. My siter got her poodle from there and she had a lot of problems as a pup- kennel cough and more. She was ready to report them. I got my Maltese puppy on Stillwell Ave. & Ave. X I have no problems. They only have two or 3 puppies in a crate.

The puppies are adorable! How much is your rehoming fee? Are they registered AKA, CKC, etc? Do you have the mom & dad?

Thanks!

I searched for my Molly for 4 months. Went to all the stores in the city, the ones I went to in my opinion are from mills. SV told me they were puppies from a groomer... Too many puppies out front for one groomer to have bred. When I told the people at Puppy Boutique what price range I was looking for all of a sudden they came out with 2 more pups from the back... Sounded too fishy for me, of coarse I wanted to take all them home with me, but I ran out of those stores. Finally found my Molly from a small AKC registered breeder in PA. She was soo worth the search. I think it is a gamble to buy from any of these places, not saying you won't find love and someone healthy.
Good luck

Default Quality Pups leaves much to be desired

On February 11 we bought a maltese puppy from Quality Pups. From the time we brought him home he was scratching his ears. He had so much wax in his ears that we had to get rid of that before the dead ear mites appeared. When I told Vincent I wanted to be reimbursed for the vet visits he said it's only ear mites, not fleas and tics. The mother probably had them. I told him a good breeder wouldn't breed a dog with ear mites. Snowball is also very aggressive. My hands are all bitten up. They told me I should get a trainer. I paid $1300 for Snowball and I don't like his attitude. It took me 8 weeks to get the papers because I kept bugging him and when I finally got them the breeder's full name isn't on the application = only M.Elsa. The breeders address is the same address as the store. Where is she breeding theses puppies. This is not a pet store and they supposedly breed the dogs themselves. The only other time I've seen a puppy behave this way is when my sister got her poodle at Puppy Boutique.

This store should be put out of business. The one year guarantee they advertise is absurd. I traveled all the way to NYC to pick up a puppy that I thought would be the same one that Puppy Petite emailed me a picture of. It wasn't, however I purchased him anyway. Before traveling to NYC, the owner emailed me and told me the prices for their "teacup yorkies" were between $500-$1500; however, they were realistically between $1000-$2500. I purchased my baby for $1600...only for him to die 2 weeks later due to congenital problems.

His condition was verified by three vets and it was determined that he had a congenital disorder. Puppy Boutique still refused to return my money or exchange my dog. I have no other choice but to pursue legal assistance now. They do not sell good, healthy puppies and they have poor customer service.

Please do not purchase from this pet store, they have negative ratings from Consumer Reports and have changed their business name a couple of times to stay in business. They are known as Puppy Boutique and Puppy Petite. They are rated as unsatisfactory by the Better Business Bureau. Please help spread the word.
