Please help me find a good breeder in the NJ/NY area! So I have been looking online for days and every Yorkie breeder I seem to find is at least 10 hours away. I want to be able to meet the parents, get the health history, meet the other pups before I make my decision. Is that too much to ask? Does anyone have any ideas for a good breeder in the NJ or NYC area?

I'm in the same boat. However, there are some that you can find named in earlier posts on this very board. Also, I would look at breeder.net They have some locations closer to NYC but again, look for responsible breeders... My search is for a responsible breeder. I've found some good ones on here that I am considering adopting from... Just take your time and make an informed choice!

Breeder in NJ [QUOTE=jersie12]So I have been looking online for days and every Yorkie breeder I seem to find is at least 10 hours away. I want to be able to meet the parents, get the health history, meet the other pups before I make my decision. Is that too much to ask? Does anyone have any ideas for a good breeder in the NJ or NYC area?[/QUOT I have a 16 week old girl (Desi) that I got from a breeder in Paramus New Jersey. I adopted her at 12 weeks old (the breeder did not let her go until she was 12 weeks) . I met with her, I saw the other puppies in the litter and she, in turn, met with me asked me the appropriate questions, etc... I was extremely happy with the whole process. I adore my little girl, she is happy, well socialized, healthy, and paper trained . I am able to call the breeder any time I want with any questions I have. Let me know if you would like her information.

Dear Jersey, I am a hobby breeder located in PA, just west of the Lehigh Valley. I do have some pups born in April that will be available when they reach 12 weeks. We insist on visits beforehand and quite a lot of questions for and from you before we release pups. For more info and pics you can e-mail me directly at sylvanyorkies@entermail.net. Thanks, Stacy
