Sounds money hungry to me...and I hate deposits!!! Just a way to get folks money..what if things don't go right..most breeders aren't willing to give you back your money. They wanna hold most likely what they have already spent until they can get another puppy for you which god knows when that will happen...but they got your money so your hesitant to budge if you go elsewhere basically you a$%$ out!!

I would think that saying "sounds money hungry to me" is a little strong and unjustified. The pups are not priced outrageously. Many reputable breeders ask for deposits and return the funds if need be for whatever reasons.

Our beagles are in high demand due to their field champion bloodlines. Unless we get a deposit, we do not hold the puppy. Heck, you could be holding a puppy for someone that was only 'shopping". We learned the hard way to take deposits. We only ask a fifty dollar deposit and it is not refundable unless something happens on our end. For instance, the pup dies. The deposit lets us know who is serious. We have had some people say, "I will get your deposit right out tomorrow". Well, tomorrow never comes. we give those people a benefit of a doubt and call them to see if they still want the pup. If they do, we give them one week to get the deposit to us, or the pup is sold to the next person on the list.

Default Here we go again!!!

Why is everyone so quick to jump onto someone new or even someone that has been here for a while?? It's getting to be like Jr. High Games. You all say you are here for the benefit of your yorkies......geeze, what about giving the benefit to someone who posts and is looking for a decent reply! Lately EVERY post has turned into a debate about something!!!! There are real people with real feelings on the other end of these keyboards!!! Just because they don't post what YOU think is right doesn't give you the right to BLAST everyone that asks a question or posts a puppy for sale. It's really frustrating to come on here and see the same fight over and over and over and over again! I thought we're here to help each other. Not CUT each other down or DEGRADE each others practices. Let's grow up and try to post in an adult manner. I don't post often and have bitten my tongue since I signed up on this forum thinking that things would change. Obviously I was wrong.

Love

I dont spend anyones deposits. I have never had to refund a deposit or replace a puppy. But in any event the deposit is put into an account untill puppy is ready to go to the new home and paid for.

I dont mind answering questionsfor anyone, but funny is that I do not believe that one person that has posted here is even interested in my puppies. I didnt start a thread that asks if you think I am a reputable breeder. Im simply letting people know that I have some darling little Angells for sale in Oregon. If you interested and you want to ask questions thats great, I dont have any issues with that. The only ones that I care about their opinion and that can judge me is my Yorkies and I prove to them every day that I love them with all my heart.

Do you ship your Yorkies: I might consider shipping to the right home, but prefer for someone to meet us in person.
Hello: how far would you consider shipping a puppy...if it was the right home? We live in Florida and are searching for a tiny female ...not for breeding...just for a playmate for our male. Do you know any breeders in Florida who have small yorkies?

Maybe I should've put JMO..because that's what it is. I know some breeders will refund but a lot won't..and a lot are not asking for $50. More like a couple of hundred.

You are so right sweetie. I guess most of us feel like we just have to put in our two cents when it does nothing but cause conflict. You sell your Yorkies as you please. I'm sure you will find wonderful homes for them.

Yorkieangell.....I am sorry that some feel the need to be so negative and insulting...I went to your website and loved it!! I think it is beautiful and so are your babies. You should be proud and not take the criticism too seriously.JMHO!

My thoughts are that a puppy should NOT be placed up for sale until it has been completely vet checked and found to be a healthy pup! You are also pricing pups that at this young of an age that you have NO idea what their quality will be at 12 weeks of age! If you take someones money for a pup at this time are you prepared to return their money in full if something happens to the pup or if the pup turns out to be poor quality (bite off, bad knees, hernias, etc.)? You also can not check their liver at 4 weeks of age either to rule out liver shunt..

I am not trying to be mean.. I just would like to understand why breeders place their pups for sale at such a young age and not really knowing what their quality will be like or that they do not have NO genetic defects..

Can I second this ? Why is this getting to be such a regular thing that I am about to just stop coming here.
