| WANTED: Yorkie or Silky in HONOLULU??? I am posting for my sister who just moved to Honolulu Hawaii. A few months ago, while she was still in AZ her boyfriend bought a tiny female Silky, named LuLu. Unfortunatley Hawaii has vey stricted rules and regs as far as bringing puppies onto the island. In the meantime, my Mother who also a 4 year old female Yorkie is 'babysitting'. My Moms Yorkie girl is Harlee. Well, LuLu and Harlee LOVE Each other. They are glued together at all times. My Mom and Sister both know in their hearts that it really would be a shame to break them up at this point. (LuLu is going through all the necessary procedures here in AZ so that in May she can go to my sister in Honolulu). BUT...If we could find a breeder of Yorkies or Silkies on Honolulu, my sister may consider letting Harlee and my Mom 'adopt' LuLu, since they already have such a special bond. SO...if anyone knows of a reputable breeder of Yorkies or Silky on the Island of Oahu, Honolulu, please let me know, so I can forward the info on... THANKS!!!!!!!! |

| Aww, it would be a shame to have to break Lulu and Harlee up, so I hope your sister can find a breeder!

| I have no specific breeder to recomend Here are a few ideas- Look at the local dogs shows. Call the local kennel club and ask for breeders they have registared. Also http://www.ytca.org/frame_index2.html YTC has one listed This lady only rescues but if there is a rescue there are breeders somewhere. A little rescue might be nice. http://www.ytca.org/breeder3.html#HAW Joy |

| I am originally from there and all my family still lives there. She coud check the Honolulu Star Bulletin Its the local newspaper there and start talking to people. She still has awhile to feel her way to a good breeder. I know even after she meets the requirements here when the pup gets to Hawaii hell have to be quarantined (sp?) for I believe 3-5 days. Luck for her the laws have changed, about 10 or so years ago it was months. But its awesome to protect everyone there from rabies. Tell her good luck, theres alot of good people there. |
