| Hello and welcome to Yorkie Talk. You can go to www.ytca.org and it will list breeders by state. Good luck and have fun finding a Yorkie perfect for you.

| Good luck, I'm in Petaluma... I went out of state for my girl... I visited a few here in Cali and was unimpressed with both the quality and the crazy prices! 3500 for sick looking pups.... it was aweful.

| You are smart to be looking for an excellent breeder instead of just a puppy. The breeder is everything. I live in Southern CA and I took my time and saw a lot of pups and talked to even more breeders. The best place to start your search is at www.YTCA.org go to their breeder contact list and email some of them in your area and ask if/when they are expecting pups. These people have very few litters b/c they are going for quality not quantity. Take the time to get to know some of the breeders here on YT and read all of the posts about breeders. There was a good thread not too long ago about different types of breeders. (on the Breeder Talk board) If you find a breeder online, come back and ask for opinions before you see or commit to a pup. good luck and be patient! |
