YorkieTalk Newbie! | Help puppy is too small for flea medicine My vet says my puppy is too small to take flea medicine. He is 1.13 pounds and is not able to have any flea control meds until he's 3 pounds. He's 2 days past 12 weeks and I was wondering how big he will get full grown and how long it will take. He has fleas and I've been bathing him in dawn dish soap and combing him with a flea comb I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how I can rid them for good. Help!!! |

| Flea repellant Have you tried all natural items. IF you google it there are a few options available. I've heard garlic is also good too. I recently went to an all natural dog store and the man recommended a tag that goes on the dog collar. Its safe and no need for chemicals. He's been using it on his lab and he recommended it for my yorkie as well. I attached a link from amazon. Amazon Best wishes with your little one.

| Natural flea treatments Your success may vary, but these are better than nothing for us. Natural Flea Remedies | K9 Knowledge If your baby's coat isn't too long yet a flea comb and soapy water go worked for us. Hope it helps, fleas can be a nightmare for little ones. |

| My vet told me to warm some towels in a dryer , bath the dog with a good lather of just your regular shampoo and then wrap them up in towel for 5 minutes ....keeping them warm as possible ...this will suffocate the fleas. Then wash every thing in sight they have laid especially sleeping blankets ANNNND vacuum your carpets really well disposing of sweeper bag. This will get rid of any eggs getting ready to hatch. This has completely worked for me. Good luck!
