| Looking for a breeder in MI I'm looking to get a yorkie in the next 12 months. Right now I'm doing "ground work" trying to find a good breeder, etc. I want to make sure I get a happy, healthy Yorkie from a responsible breeder. I live in Michigan, but I would be willing to travel to surrounding states too. Having done a lot of reading on the subject I'm leery of buying a puppy online without actually meeting the breeder/home. So idealy I would want to find a breeder that I could visit, and pick the baby up myself. My sister adopted a "Shorkie" (Shih tzu/yorkie mix) from a friend of her boyfriend's (bought the dog, but traveled too much & gave him up) & he was originally shipped from Washington D.C. I don't really want to go that route, and have a dog shipped to me that I've only ever seen pics of. Does anyone know of a good breeder (hopefully from personal experience) in the MI/OH/IN/IL region? |

| Sorry I don't know breeder in Michigan Hve you gone to the YTCA site. They have lists of breeders from various states who know Yorkies well Good luck in your search ..... And you are so correct, you buy the breeder first then the puppy

YT Addict | I have two 6 month old Greens Treasured Yorkies, Brenda is the breeder and she's in Michigan. I don't believe she's on the YTCA site, though. I found her through Yorkie Talk. So far my puppies are healthy, have great temperaments and are just adorable.

| Green's Treasured Yorkies - Brenda is fabulous and her pups are very happy, well socialized, smart, cute and Brenda is a wonderful breeder. I bought my Izzy from her. greenstreasuredyorkies.com

| Both of the breeders recommended from Michigan have BEAUTIFUL puppies (and I believe both are members here). I know for sure my next puppy will be from Breny (when I am ready).
