| Looking for a Yorkie pet to add to our family TX I have been in search of the right Yorkie to add to our family. We live Se of Houston and finding reputable breeders has been difficult. This site has been helpful but to ease up on my exhausted effort I thought I would post for advice / references if any are available. Thanks in advance. |

| Good afternoon I don't know if you are still looking add a Yorkie I your family but contact me if you are. =] I am located in austin and I recently bought a Yorkie from a great breeder near me. She has been wonderful through the process and she still has 4 males that are akc registered and ready for a family.

| I am a reputable breeder, right in SE Houston area (Pearland), and I am not remembering any contact with you....did you contact me? It has been my experience that selecting a reputable breeder is not usually the only limiting factor.....it is usually the fact that reputable breeders do not normally have lots of babies immediately available, or pricing could be the issue, or passing an application interview.....more often than not, in order to get a baby from a reputable breeder, people have been on a waiting list, waiting for the litter to be born. These people have found their breeder first, and then they are willing to wait for a baby from that breeder. I have 6 people on waiting lists for the three litters I will be having this year, and the lists fill up quickly. PATIENCE is ther operative phrase when buying your baby. Good luck with your search....just be patient and very thorough....it will pay off in the long run! Last edited by Yorkiemom1; 01-06-2013 at 05:59 PM. |

| Sorry for the delay getting to this lynzy....been arranging my autopsy and getting the lawyers lined up for y'alls class action lawsuit! It comes out to about 7-9 months on the average, waiting for your puppy, from conception to take home. I think I may go back to bed....my fighting Irish is getting their butts handed to them....this is brutal, and I dont have the strength to watch this massacre (sp?) |

| I know with the one time I bought from a good breeder it took 2 yrs for me. Her litters weren't big and most were held onto for show and I wanted a girl. But the wait was worth it.

It always is......it is very hard to wait, but if you can just hang in there....I had a gentleman in Florida, who takes the trophy for Longest Wait from me...he waited almost 2 years....he wanted a little boy, and you would know, I couldnt have a baby boy in any litter to save my soul! Then when we FINALLY got a little boy, he was a tiny little man, and I kept him.....thank goodness, he just hung with me, and I finally was able to give him his precious little Cody.......and he has never regretted one minute of the wait, as I am sure neither have you! | |

| I also was curious about the same question a good breeder but near abilene or ft worth and reasonable price and again know you cannot find these puppies for free at all. Any advice for these areas in texas? I would like to have two eventually I have been looking for a long time but have not succeeded in my search! Thanks much! |
