| Looking for Biewer female puppy in the Virginia (or surrounding) area. My husband and I are going to be moving into a house somewhere in early to mid-July, and I'd really like to adopt a female Biewer pup. The only issue is that I have an allotted $500 to spend on a puppy, and most of the ones around here cost quite a bit more than that. There's one girl a few states away that I could afford and that I love, but of course, my husband doesn't want to make the drive because of gas prices and the trouble. I may not be able to offer as much money as other buyers, but I can offer many years of love and affection! I hope someone will consider me for their baby. If you have a litter due in July or later, that would be fine. I'm not in a rush to get a girl right now, as we are going to be moving our things for the next while! Thank you for your time. -Lindsey |

| Does it have to be a girl? I'm looking for one too, but I'm even having trouble finding one with a budget of $1000-1200. Boys are priced considerably cheaper and I've seen many for $500. The cheapest I found for girls is $1000 and there's not many choices...

| Girl? Yes, please! Yes ... It has to be a girl. I don't mean to sound that picky, but there are 2 male Poms at my mom's house that have a bit of a marking problem, so my husband is saying strictly girl only! I know the choices are limited around here. There were 2 girls for $800 each in TN, but they are already reserved. I just love the idea of having my own Biewer girl, but money talks, and I don't have as much to spend as most other people do upfront for a puppy. I can still most certainly afford to pamper and take a dog to the veterinarian. It's just ... hard to find someone who is willing to sell a dog of this breed at that price. I'm not looking to breed one, I just want a loving companion. If you aren't planning on breeding or showing one, I think it would be an okay deal, but maybe that's just me! |

| Here's the thread with the biewer puppies. Good luck! I'm looking for local only because bf said the same thing --GAS. lol You know, if you neuter the boy at 6 months of age, they usually won't mark. Are the two pom boys not neutered?

| Ohhh. The 2 male Poms aren't neutered. If they see another male dog mark something though, will they pick up the habit? I don't know, I'm still kind of hoping for a girl. Wait, isn't that link for Nebraska? Lol, that's a little far for us! |

| Maybe check with Biewer breeders... sometimes they retire females from breeding fairly young... not a puppy but still young. And they look for good homes to place them in. (That's how I got mine!)

I don't get it... Was the breeder bad so you paid a lot of health expenses?

| Just so you know females will mark as well and can be as bad as the males.
