| Thinking of getting A Yorkie Good morning YT! This is our first post here and so please bear with us as we ask what may already have been covered in another thread. We did scan through a few threads. Came across the thread on using an escrow service. Sound advice. Will heed that when we get to that stage. My wife and I (live in Central FL) are considering getting a Yorkie pup. We came across this site Florida Yorkie Breeders.net Anyone have experience(s) with this group? They seem to be an online brokerage firm. |

My furkids Donating Member | Welcome to YT!! You will find alot of good information here...it's a wonderful site...only thing...sometimes your post gets buried and then not answered. you can bump you own thread so others will see it. Personally....I would stay away from places like this, They only breed for the money...not the love of the breed...you could end up with a very sick pup. There are several good breeders on this site. good luck in your search. Also...when you see prices like that it's a sure sign it's a mill or broker...you really want to stay away from those sites.n JMO

| Please check the YTCA website. Other than valuable information, they have a breeder referral list by state. There are several very good breeders in Florida. You can contact any of these breeders and if they don't have anything availible, the can certainly help find a reputable breeder. There are so many back yard breeders, brokers, puppy mills and just plain "greeders" out there you have to be extremely careful and don't be fooled...show breeders sell their pet (non show) puppies for no more than the shall we say, not so ethical breeders.. Good luck in you search. Yorkshire Terrier Club of America About The Club

Agree, great advice. You may want to start your research at ytca.org. The site offers a lot of info, and a listings of breeders in your state that you may want to start with. Remember one thing, buy your breeder first, and then the pup! | |

Yorkshire Terrier Club of America About The Club Be sure to ask questions and if you hear any red flags, move on. Your breeder is the first and most important decision when choosing your puppy. Remember, your puppy will only be as healthy and happy as your breeder is reputable. Good luck and when you find your new baby make sure post photos!!

| Welcome to YT, I only know of a breeder in Georgia, she has a 6 month old male and a 10 week old female. 3 of my Yorkies came from her. Someone from NC just recently got the other 10 week old female. Good Luck in finding your new baby.
