Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Two sets of shots by 10.5 weeks old? Normally, they'd only have one set by then. It's not really my business, but I feel compelled to say please be careful about overvaccinating these wee ones. Also, when you list "champion lines" - it is a requirement that you also name the actual lines . Rule: If you list a Yorkie having a Champion dam or sire, you must list the dam and sire's name as well as the registration (AKC, UKC, etc) of the Champion. They are adorable, I hope you find wonderful homes for them.

They were vaccinated at 6 1/2 weeks, only 1/2 ml. My breeder/mentor has been breeding yorkies for 30+ years and she told me they were ok to be vaccinated so I went by what she told me. Then they were vaccinated again 3 weeks later. The smallest pup was vaccinated at 7 1/2 weeks. They didn't have a reaction at all and they were great when they got their vaccines. I've never heard about the rule of the Champions being listed. I don't know what the Champion's names are in the stud's paperwork since my breeder owns him. But I do know that my female has CH Scrumptious Outrageous Spike in her lines, he is AKC registered. These pups just take my heart away, they're so cute and friendly. I wish I could keep all of them, I really do. But I already have 3 girls, 2 are their adult sisters and they're fixed. I weigh these pups everyday and I make sure they are taken care of 24/7. They're my children and anybody who takes one of these little babies, will be very happy with them. | |

I'm really surprised that someone who has been breeding yorkies for 30+ years (your mentor) isn't up to date on vaccine protocols. If you think she is amenable...maybe you could print some things for her or email them to her, bc 6.5 weeks (as well as 7.5) is too young. Quote from Schultz, leading vaccine researcher: How old should a puppy be when the first vaccine is given? Eight to 10 weeks is the earliest Schultz would start vaccinating. The exception, he says, is shelter animals, which can be started at 6 weeks. “I’m very liberal regarding vaccination of shelter animals and very conservative regarding vaccination of pets.” From this article: PetConnection.com Shot in the dark: what to know about pet vaccination programs Here is a vaccine protocol: Vaccination Schedule Recommendations For Dogs

| Hi I was just wondering about Champion lines your pups are from. I see that you have the bitch and that she has CH Scrumptious Outrageous Spike in her pedigree. Is that the sire or dam? If not, how far back is he/she? And you said your mentor who has been breeding 30+ years has the stud but you don't know what lines he's from? If she's been breeding that long doesn't she have a kennel name? If she's your breeder/mentor you should know her kennel name and lines that she's used. All of this information should be in your bitch's pedigree. If you advertise that your pups have Champions in their pedigree - please be able to provide that information. Your pups are adorable! I'm looking forward to hearing all about their pedigree.

I too live in the Santa Clarita Valley. I'm a bit confused by the statement I've bolded. Recommended placement for yorkie pups is 12 weeks at the minimum. Allowing pups to have have the minimum of 2 vaccinations. Innoculating pups prior to 8 weeks of age is supressing mother's immunities and making them more suseptible in contracting a dreaded disease. Therefore, keeping the pups until 12 weeks of age until the 2nd innoculation can be given would safeguard the pup. In addition give you the ability to monitor the pup and insure the new family & puppy would have a smooth and trouble free transition.

| I have 2 pups left! Hi Everyone, Sorry I haven't been on here. I am a full time student and had finals last week. So the last 2 weeks of school were pretty hectic! I had to write so many long papers..ugh Im so glad that is over! Well I only have 2 pups left. I had one girl that was really small so I waited until 12 weeks to give her up. I was sooo picky as to where she went because she was so small. I turned down 2 people! lol! My best friend of 18 years took her and I am sooo happy!! She bought another girl pup from me before that and came back for a second pup! I let her do payments on her. I'm so happy that the 2 pups get to grow up together. They are besties. So the 2 pups that I have left are Tasha and Haylee. Haylee is more of a calm personality type of girl. She's sweet and just wants lovin all the time (which she gets haha). Tasha is more roudy and likes to play but loves to cuddle on someone when she's sleepy. Tasha sits now, it's so cute. She's great in the car too! Haylee's ears just finally went up. Tasha's ears are getting there so any day now. I'm getting attached more and more everyday to these girls. They're so precious and I want them all to have loving, forever homes. Thanks!! |

| Are you selling these puppies with full registration? Because you have them advertised here for $1500, but elsewhere you have them listed for $1200 or $1600 with full rights. Have you done full testing & evaluating of your dogs since you are selling them with full rights?

You've not replied to some excellent questions that have been asked of you by other posters. May I ask why?
