| Kelly, this is Helen, the owner of Pocket Pooch. You can give me a call on my cell phone (240) 832-1174 and I will be happy to discuss our puppies with you. Helen

| re:puppy "pocket pooch"??? I hate to sound catty, but that is the WORST name I have ever heard for a breeder! Or what you most likely sound like-a broker! |

| Actually, the name of my boarding, day care, and grooming business is Pocket Pooch Hotel. My breeding dogs are PKPooch. The boarding is for dogs 30 pounds and under, and as far as I know, Pocket Pooch Hotel is the only facility for little doggies in this area. Check out our website: www.pocketpoochhotel.com and see what you think. Helen

| Kelly, where are you located? Have you ever owned a yorkie before? I'd recommend you to be on the look out for brokers. Please make sure you get to know the breeder you choose. Make sure the parents are on site so you know all their animals are well taken care of and so you will know exactly what the puppy will look like. I wouldn't go by just pictures alone, some places have been known to send a completely different dog. And lastly, I would not send money off to into outerspace, you might never get a puppy. Ask about Elizabeth Davis. Welcome to YT! I wish you luck in finding the perfect pet from a good breeder. I'm also glad that you came to this site to meet other yorkie lovers! |

| I see.. it's just puppies being used as assesories is my pet peev. Too me that's what the name seems to suggest. Sorry if I offended. Your site doesn't look like a broker by the way. You don't list 30 different breeds and have them all available. |

| I have the same feelings as you about brokers and puppy mill owners. We only breed Yorkshire Terriers and take great care in breeding beautiful little Yorkies with a good background. Rini and Pat, who are frequent contributers to this forum are mentoring me, and in fact, Rini has one of my babies, Cara Mia, who she raves about. Our furbabies are well solicialized, and have awesome personalities. We are very selective about their forever homes, and keep in touch with their new Moms and Dads. Some of the pictures of the puppies on the PKPooch puppy link were sent to us by their forever parents. You didn't offend me at all. I love Yorkies way too much to become an indiscriminate breeder who just wants to line my pockets by producing inferior Yorkies for quick sale.

| Hi, KellyandJohn. I wanted to welcome you to YT and to respond to your inquiry. I am the person who is owned by CaraMia and I waited a long while to even get another tiny Yorkie to help heal my heart from the death of my heart of my heart Jesse. I breed! I help rescue! I help try to refer an inquirer to a responsible, respectable breeder when I do not have a baby. That happens often as I have retired my moms and started over with partis and Biewers. I am surprised that a comment made in haste to the PocketPooch owner sounded so negative. I am happy that this mis-understanding has been cleared up. Since you are in MD you can visit the place and form your own opinion and make your own decision as to the quality and personality of her babies. I would hope that you do decide to visit PKPooch and not let comments on this thread either pro or con affect your decision. If I can be of any help at all please do not hesitate to PM me and we can chat about all considerations in selecting a puppy. Tinies CAN and often do have health issues that larger Yorkies do not have. Personally, I would suggest that you research the unique genetics and health problems of the tinies. If you and your partner have plans to have human kids in the next few years, I will say that a Yorkie larger than 3 pounds probably would be a better choice as these tinies are more delicate... Good Luck in your search and I for one, look forward to further posts from you.. |

| Pkpooch I know Helen at Pocket Pooch Hotel quite well...I have been there a number of times. The name is a business term for a place to board small dogs only. Helen breeds Yorkies as a hobby, but her business is a grooming/boarding hotel for special pets. She is very reputable and ever so kind to her dogs. I would not leave one of mine in her care for one minute if I did not know her to be honest and trustworthy. |

| Today, 04:26 PM #8 whispersmom2 : At the time I thought "pocketpooch" was the name of her breeding facility. IMO it didn't sound like the best name for one, as if it meant that the sole purpose of breeding was for tinies. Now with more information she says that it is for boarding puppies under 30lbs. A simple misunderstanding. No drama please! |

| WOW this site has SO much drama. She SAID she wasn't offended. She hadn't posted anything about the site or the puppies to everyone at the time. I SAID I didn't want to OFFEND her. I just know that I've seen more BAD breeders than good breeders already. Maybe I was wrong to assume that she was one. But ennsor and I just rescued 4 puppies from a BYB and I just got finished reading Jeff Davis's discusting site who "breeds 3 sizes of "teacup" yorkies and ships them off to people's he's never seen or met. Since your first post in YT was you trying to sell puppies, you didn't offer any info about yourself or them, and the name was pocket pooch I found it kind of strange. The girl was new and I wanted to make sure she knew what she was reall looking for in a puppy/breeder since I had learned so much. With the internet you read things with VERY little information and you can't heard people's TONE of voice and have no idea what someone is trying to put out in so little words. I'm so tired the people on this site for trying to CREATE drama where there is none. I haven't been going here long but I'm not coming back. I'm blocking my email from everything on this site. LuvMyYorkies I'm sorry AGAIN if I offended you. And you know what, as long as I'm cool and she's cool that's all what matters to me. I have enough drama in my life without people trying to create it! |

| I have only been to Pocket Pooch once to look at the boarding and daycare facility and really liked it. Helen was very friendly and helpful, eager to answer all of my questions and address all of my concerns. I also got to see two litters of puppies that they had available (these are the ones that she still has) and they are all adorable. She had both of the mothers right there with the puppies and didn't mind bringing the father out for us to see as well. It is quite obvious when talking to Helen that she loves her dogs and does not indiscriminately breed with dollar signs in her mind. After visiting I was completely at ease with the idea of leaving my babies there and would definitely recommend her puppies. Ceryl000, I'm sorry that you seem to think that this site is so full of drama. I have only been a member for a short while but LOVE it here! I have met so many wonderful people, Rini and Pat being two of them, and can't help but to check this site quite often throughout the day. People are so eager to help others here and share in the joys and sorrows of other members. You publicly posted your reponse and therefore brought others, besides Helen, into it. You also did not go about it in a nice way at all and yet no one slammed you for it, instead they were just trying to make sure that people did not just read your comment and judge Helen and Pocket Pooch by it. In all honesty, the only drama I saw in this thread was in your two posts. I hope that you do not simply stop using YT and block everything as you stated because there is a lot to learn on this site and you seem like a caring person, based on what you wrote about the pups you have saved. Good luck in the future and I hope that maybe if you step back and look at the overall picture you will see that no one was trying to add drama to your life.

little male from Oregon, Thinker, at the age of six months showed signs of a genetic disorder, so I gave him to a dear friend who I knew could afford to pay for any surgery he would need in the future. And, I still see Tinker when he comes to PPH for boarding and grooming. Then a couple of the Oregon females proved to small to breed, so they went to forever homes with limited registration. That's where Pat stepped in and allowed me to purchase a male and female from her and waived the limited registration so that I could breed them. Aubergine and Teddy had their first litter in April, and their three babies were adorable. If you check our website and go to the PKPooch Puppy link, and click Aubergine and Teddy link, you will see their babies. Tulley and Bonnie had their litter in June and their babies are also adorable. Because this was Bonnie's second c-section, I had her spay because she means too much to me to endanger her life by having another litter. In addition to Pat's allowing me to purchase Yorkies without limited registration, Rini has also. We have Rini's Karn and we are waiting for her second heat so that we can breed her with Tulley. So, this has been a slow process, which I could not have done without the help of two wonderful Yorkie friends.
