Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | At the risk of hurting your feelings, or getting bashed I have to ask, How can you have a dog for 5 years, use her for a bitch, and then get rid of her? Was there no feelings? |

Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | Oh my gosh, I just read some postings here and want to add something to this thread. Jill Brooks is one of the most caring, loving ladies here on YT and as a breeder she always has as her top concern in placing her yorkies. Years ago, after we lost Cassie, I wanted to get a yorkie from Jill and her concern was in flying one at that time beings it was winter and I had several conversations with her and came to understand that this lady is one breeder that puts her babies first. Jack and I was so very happy that when Prairie Bea came to be, our daughter was able to fly from North Carolina to Indiana and to us here in Calif. Jill went totally out of her way with all the arrangements at our convenience to get Prairie Bea, I just want those here to know how blessed we were through Jill's caring to get Prairie Bea and the contact with her afterwards. I am not posting this thread to cause any discussion about what others feel about a breeder placing one from their breeding program, but just want to say, Jack and I truely know how fortunate the family will be that gets Emma. Thanks Jill for being the lady you are and I want to say Prairie Bea has really brought so many smiles into our lives, especially Jack, I think she taught him how to smile all over again. Truely, I am serious when I say that. I know Emma will go to a very special home just as she is parting from one. Hugs, Patti and Jack and Girls. |

Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | It wasnt my intent to bash the poster, I just have a hard time understanding how as much as I love my dogs, (like children) how you can part with them after 5 years. The dog in the picture is very cute, but didnt look like a show dog, so as pet quality, which means they are your pet, it just is difficult for me to grasp. |

| To be a breeder is to be able to make great sacrifices. Breeders cannot keep everyone, they have to make the sacrifice from their heart to let some go at some point otherwise they would be overwhelmed and the dog would not get their care it deserves. I do not know Jill but I know the sacrifices I have made. No vacation our vacation is a dog show. On call 24/7. Placing a dog when you have the dogs best interest at heart and not your own. I am sure it hurts her to place a dog after owning her for 5 years. I have a girl I have been interviewing for new homes for about a year. She is retired, its hard and we had thought we had found the home it was a great home indeed but it wasn't the right time for the person who had wanted her. And so far I still haven't found another home like that home so I haven't placed her. I may never place her but if the right home would come up I would suck it up and let her go. Its about whats best for her first and foremost. Jill has had her spayed and her dental etc. she is doing it right! Best of luck Jill, I know exactly how hard it is.

| As a new owner of a retired mom (3 years old) from a VERY reputable breeder, I hope Emma finds a nice home. Leia, who's been with me for less then a week) has done very well. I appreciate the exceptional way caring breeders make efforts to find good homes for their dogs. |

| I'm sure this may stir the pot and I really don't mean for that to happen but I have to ask those that are posting; To be a good breeder aren't you suppose to breed to better the breed? While this girl is beautiful, she certainly does not portray the breed standard. So how come some get praise whether they breed to better to better the breed or not and others get slammed for breeding a dog out of standard. I'm just not understanding this and I don't mean to hijack this gal's post. Although I would not be able to and still can't understand (Whether being responsible or not) that someone could part with a dog after 5 yrs. of being a member of their family, I do hope she finds a great loving home. In closing I would just like to say that I hear about responsibility and sacrafice etc, and doing what's best for the dog yet has anyone put any thought into how this 5 yr. old dog must feel being rehomed after spending all this time with someone they felt was their family and not to mention the loss they will feel leaving their fur friends. Just my .02. Best of luck in finding her a great forever home. Elaine |

| I am not getting into judging this girl as far as breed standard etc. I am glad to see she is being placed after being spayed, but as a breeder I can say you can't keep them all wether you are a show breeder or just breeding. Not everyone shows that breeds. It is still a choice of course soon there may be no breeders at all period that includes show breeders too. So be sure to enjoy your pets and hold them tight because if the anti breeding takes effect your not going to have breeders/furry family to hug and hold tight ~ just check out the anti breeding legislation in every state.

| How is she with other dogs? How is she with other females and babies that are not hers? I understand also about breeding and showing, and no vacations, etc., but those are the choices we make for the love of the breed and we understand these choices, as breeders (and people that show but I do not show). I do not question her sincerity at all - She loves her baby. I just question what is one mouth to feed as she has already been feeding and caring for this baby.
