| I don't know, but if it is serious I highly doubt anybody will want to do that trade! Everyone I've met on here loves their yorkies way too much, like a child, and would never do such a thing!!

| I am VERY serious about trading my parrot for a yorkie puppy. Sorry you guys thought it was a joke. People SELL puppies all of the time, why wouldn't someone trade? First time to this board and I had no idea it was like this. |

| Hello Kdewser, please accept my personal appology towards my remark on your post. I am sure you have done some reading on this forum and you will have to admit that you have read concern, care, well wishes, love, and devotion to others who have had their heart stolen by our Yorkies. I honestly believe that maybe the reason you have received such reply's is only a few days ago we had a few "not honest and very mean" threads, so maybe we figured your's was another. Again, I appologize dearly!! I do hope you receive your Yorkie and find a lovely home for your Amazon parrot. And please give Yorkie Talk a chance to make it up to you by proving to you that this is the BEST Yorkie forum around. I am soooo sorry!!

| i apologize as well........ as i stated above we have had our share of "tricksters" on this forum lately, and i honestly didnt think you were serious, i feel that i wouldnt trade my yorkie for the world and i think pretty much everyone on here feels the same way... (or they wouldnt be a part of this board..... )........ if it is the cost that is more difficult to cope with (and this is the reason you are willing to trade your parot) then you could try the local papers in your area, the pennysaver, or log onto a breeders listing and start calling people in your area...... be careful about where you get your yorkie, there are sooooo many terrible stories floating around these days about horrible breeders...... again i apologize, good luck finding your yorkie |

| Thank you for your apologies. I had NO idea there were people coming on here causing problems. I can see where you would be hesitant. I have heard of people trying to pass Silkies off as Yorkies, what else is there to be weary of? And....sure a parrot could wear a top knot bow!! |

| lets see...... there is SO MUCH you need to weary of....... 1.If a breeder is trying to sell you a "teacup yorkie"... RUN AWAY, there is no such thing and they are either not knoweldgable about the breed or they are trying to scam you. 2. Any puppy that is lethargic and not acting like a normal puppy should is a bad sign 3. the breeder should ask you lots of questions as well to make sure the puppy is going to a good home, beware of breeders that dont really seem to care where their puppies end up 4.Check out the environment taht the puppies are in, is it clean? does it have toys? 5. Are the parents on site? (this isnt a must, but a good breeder ALWAYS has parents on site ..... at least one of them anyways) 6.if it just doesnt feel right then walk away, do not get taken in by the "guilt trip" or "puppy syndrome" this is hwo breeders pawn off sick puppies on unsuspecting buyers 7.research research research...... just takke your time on getting one, if you rush into it you might get a bad example of the breed OR get a sick puppy OR end up paying more than you should have too 8. I wouldnt advise buying puppies through websites just out of curiosity, in youre initial message you said unaltered...... are you planning on breeding yorkies? |

| LOL............... Im not willing to trade a yorkie for a parrot, but if I really wanted a parrot and you had a good home I would trade. Parrots are expensive and to me its really no different then selling for money if thats what someone wanted to do! Please no hate mail fellow yorkie lovers! I think maybe people are concerned that you want to trade your pet, but maybe you breed birds?? I dont know. Anyway, as a breeder I know I wont always be able to keep everyone and will have to find retirement homes one day for some yorkies....it sounds callous Im sure but someone who wants a yorkie and cant afford one will be given one after screening when that day comes.
