I have two Yorkie puppies- One boy and one girl. I just found out that I am pregnant and I have to move out and into a place of my own. Unfortuneatly the only place I can afford right now does not accept pets. I am looking for a loving home for my babies. They can go together or seperate.

The girl- Daisy is adorable. When I first got her, she was very shy and timid. I have a large family with lots of young ones that loved to ply with her. After much socializing and being around other animals, she has a great temperment. She loves to watch tv especially the animal planet. Snow Dogs is her favorite movie. She is aso a great guard dog, barking at anyone she doesn't know in the house as well as smoke. We're still trying to convince her its ok when its coming from a pan on the stove! She is 5 months old and has reached her max weight at 5 pounds. I really hate to part with her. We are asking $700, but she is worth way more.

The boy- Roscoe has been active since day 1. He loves to play with new people and animals especially the really big ones. He also loves HUGE bones. We are convinced he thinks he is the biggest, baddest dog around. With as much energy as this little guy has, its hard to imagine that he actually curls up and lays down on the couch at times. Sure enough when you are not paying attention, you will catch him in his favorite position- laying upside down, stretched out with his belly up. He is also five months old and has reached his max weight of 6.5 pounds. He has such an awesome personality and $600 isn't nearly what he's worth.

Both dogs sleep through the night and are crate trained.

The mixes were actually my mother in laws and sadly the puppies didn't make it. That was all before we found out about the new baby and that I would have to pay for my own tuition and need to find a new home all within 8 weeks.

It has been a rough year.

Why do you feel that they are at their max weight at only 5 months? I know Tucker didn't stop growing until he was at least a year.

Do you know what each of them weighed at 12 weeks? This might give a better idea of the adult weight.

look into getting grants to help pay for your schooling. the pell grant is awesome because it pays for you books and classes and even a little money in your pocket depending on your yearly income and you don't have to pay it back you just have to maintain a certain gpa.

Wow. 12 weeks I believe at ten Daisy was 4 lbs and Roscoe was 4.5 I am not sure at 12 I don't have records for then.

The vet told me they would not get much, if any bigger, I just assumed he was correct.

Yeah.. Franklin was 4lbs at 12 weeks and he is over 10lbs now. He's only 8 months (almost 9) and still growing!

Good luck finding them homes. I know how tough it must be. They are SO adorable.. I'm sure someone will scoop them up and love them in no time.

I would guess that fully grown Daisy will be around 10 lbs and Roscoe will be 11-12. My yorkie Tucker was 3lb 8 ounces ( so that would be 3.5 lbs) at 10 weeks and he is 9 lbs now at 1 year and a half.

Lots of people love these "teapots" so I'm sure you'll have no problem finding them good homes. You may have to lower your price, however, because they are above the weight the standard allows.

Roscoe Still needs a home!!!!!

Daisy went to a lovely home right south of where I live now. Susan is a wonderful middle-aged woman that has two grown daughters and wanted someone else to love and share her house with.
