| Looking for Male Yorkie in Arizona AZ Hello everyone!! I'm looking to add another yorkie to my family. I am looking for a male yorkie in Arizona. I am a US pat who moved to Hermosillo, Sonora, MX about a year and a half ago from Denver. I travel to Tucson every week due to business, so I am willing to drive to meet the right little guy. Sorry, no air travel as this is traumatizing for the pup. Registration is not necessary, but welcome. More importantly, I'm looking for an honest breeder who cares about the quality of the breed and cares they go to a good home (mine). I would like to see the parents and possibly any siblings, past or present. I am an experienced yorkie owner who spoils her pups rotten. I own 2 females and 1 male. Chester, my male, recently became very sick and lost an eye and had to be neutured. Any questions, please feel free to ask or PM me. Letty |

I recently moved to Mesa Arizona (outside of Phoenix) I brought my female Yorkie with me. My boyfriend has her sister. Who is beautiful. I have some experience in Breeder a pair of Yorkies from the past..I just enjoyed having pups. We have been talking about adding a little boy to our family maybe breed his little girl. I really want to find a male with good qualities. So if we do decide to breed..The pups would be great quality.. I havent had much luck in the Phoenix area. When i have found someone . There is limited Registration. I understand ..I wouldnt want my Yorkie pups to go to a Puppy Mill Breeder. I went to look at a pup the other day. The breeder had been breeding for 17yrs and was gonna sell me a 5 1/2 week old pup..I was shocked..I have went to several people with Yorkie pups since i moved here in April and i couldnt believe the poor quality. Half didnt look like Yorkies..I am sure there is a Breeder that will meet my needs..I am just excited about getting a little boy for our family.. Are you looking to Breed this male? If i find someone reputable i will let you know.I have been looking since the beginning of April.. Good Luck Gina Mesa, Az

| Mesa I was in Mesa about a month ago on business, I travel to Phoenix often No reputable breeder would release a pup at 5 1/2 weeks...def only after money. I see the same happening here in Mexico all the time. They will show you pictures they download off the net and the pup you get is entirely different than what you get later. Obviously, this did not happento me, but several veterinarian friends here have had that happen to them. They resell the yorkies and usually have the client come back 6 months later with a giant yorkie who was supposed to be a 'teacup/tiny/mini' your choice of little-word lol. Nothing wrong with a 15 or 20 pound yorkie except he looks more like a french poodle with brown hair lol. My Chester was a father of 3 beautiful pups 5 days ago. He was bred with Bella, this was their 2nd litter. A week before Bella gave birth, I removed a tick on Chester and noticed his bleeding wouldn't stop. Lab tests showed elevated protein levels, low hemoglobin count and he tested positive for ehrlichiosis, which is a tick-borned disease. We had recently gone hiking and I suspect he caught it there as there is no dirt in my home. My vets concured on giving him tetracycline to treat the bacterial infection, however, this caused a nodular episcleritis in his eye, which is one of the side-effects of tetracyclines. It was either this or let the bacterial infection kill him. Due to the episcleritis, he lost an eye, but the rest of him is okay. I call him my loving little pirate The positive in all of this: this litter brought me 2 boys and 1 girl, all perfectly healthy and getting rounder by the minute! His first litter was one beautiful boy who my best friend kept in Denver. He turned out to be a gorgeous yorkie, 6 pounds at a year old, gold and blue like his mom. Dad is tan and blue. I am also in search of a good, reputable breeder here in Arizona as most breeders in Mexico (where i currently reside) are not ethical at all in their breeding standards and will breed sons with mothers without giving it a 2nd thought. I've also looked at several breeders in AZ and have had no luck so far, but I am hopeful! But I know the right little guy is out there and I am willing to wait Yes, I am looking for a male to breed and possibly show. My horror story: I went to a breeder's home about two months ago on the outskirts of Northern Tucson and was shocked to see more than 150 puppies caged, about 20 to a cage, separated by size. There was a poor little girl shaking in one corner, tiny little thing, with what looked like a neurological disease. After I pointed to the little girl to the owner, he stated she was not sick, but was just nervous. She appeared to have late stages of distemper to me...She did NOT look nervous at all. This was a puppy mill breeder if I ever saw one. I called the humane society and reported them so they could investigate and they did and fined the shop and confiscated some of the pups. Quote:

I am sorry you had to see the horrible conditions of the puppy mill. Its scary...There are a lot of sad stuff going on with the Yorkie Breed. I moved here from Indiana and had a bad experience with a Breeder and stop looking for a pup for 2 years. This lady lived in Webster Indiana. I spoke with her via e-mail on the Phone. Ask a lot of question. Drove 2 hours to see the pups and was in love with a little boy pup..I named him Payton. I put a deposit down on him (got receipt). The day before i pick him up she called me and said he was at the Vet,very sick. His two sisters passed. The following day she called me and said he had also passed..I was soo upset. I spoke with her on the phone and she also sounded pretty upset..She told me she would send my deposit back or let me get a pic of another litter. which wasnt gonna be till months later and there was no guarantee there would be a Male. So, i called her and said i would just take back the deposit back..Weeks went by and no check..I started e-mailing her. I finally got a response. She told me with all the Vet Bills her and husband dont think they owe me my deposit. I was shocked..Of course i responded with " How was this my fault" She claimed he died from a Virus and it could of been me who brought into there home. I have a female Yorkie at home and she is fine..So, i took her to court and she never showed..I won...but never got my money. The courts said they cant make her pay.. I really trusted this lady..I spoke with her several times, ask a lot questions before purchasing a pup from her..Nice ,environment parents were healthy.. I just dont know how these people could live with themselves.. Seeing what you seen at the Puppy Mill i am sure affected you for days..i dont get how someone could do that to a animal. I am just gonna keep educating myself with the Yorkie Breed..and wait for the right one.. If i run into a Reputable Breeder i will let you know.. I lived here for 14 years and recently moved back..I bought Annies mom years ago from a Breeder that i became friends with..We lost touch over the years..I am trying to find if she is still in the area..Annies mom is a great dog.. Good Luck Gina

| Ah, I'm so sorry you went through something like that. Did you ever verify with the vet they indeed died? First thing I thought was...maybe they found someone else who would pay more and they scammed innocent people like you...just a thought Viruses don't quite attack one day and kill you the next without a warning. Not a parvo, not a distemper (never lost a puppy or adult to either). I've been through both, and there are definitely warning signs. I understand infections occur, but, there are preventive measures, especially if you are a breeder. For example, my vet does home visits and whenever she holds my dogs, she makes sure she changes and washes thoroughly prior to entering my home because she knows she can carry a bacteria or a virus with her from her office. I went through many vets before finding her and out of 9 I saw prior, she was the only one to do that. She has people from Phoenix and Tucson that come and see her (6 and 4 hours away) especially because she is so thorough. Thank you for sharing your experience, I think I've totally changed the subject of this thread..lol Quote:

I posted her on ripoff.com. I posted it on this site..and she is still selling Yorkies..I posted it this so nobody else would go threw what i went threw..I got attached to this little guy in the short time i knew him.. I lost out more in the long run..$70.00 court fee and gas for the two hour drive..I didnt know the court system. I thought if i won they would make her pay. She must of known that because she never showed up.. Live and learn...

| Avery good breeder..Durrer-Rothby Lines Ok, for those who are looking in Arizona.. I did several years of research before I bought my little guy..being from Mesa, AZ, I did not want to go outside of AZ. Check into Welcome To GoldDust Yorkies! Breeder and Exhibitor of Yorkshire Terriers Kathy Murphy is the breeder. There are a number of members who have gotten their Yorkies from her. Ralphie is from Gold Dust. She does not post if she has litters or not..her web site is not always current- so email her. PM if you would like other details. I also ran into an terrible breeder in Tucson..supposed to be a good one too.
