| Looking For A Little Yorkie Boy... The kids and I have decided that since we will very soon be literally overrun with female homones around here - that we should think about looking for a little Yorkie boy to join our family... I have just begun to think about this and have contacted a couple of breeders - - - it will likely be at least a few months before I am ready to venture into this, as I am bringing home a few female additions over the next several weeks, including a brand new baby furface girl! So.... what I am looking for is a small adult male... preferrably between 3 and 5 lbs... between the ages of 8 months and 1 year old. He MUST BE NEUTERED prior to my adopting him as I will have a house full of pretty small girls - some of whom have not yet been spayed.... and I want no "accidents".... there is no debate on this one... I have no preference as to whether he is neutered currently, or you agree to have the procedure done following the purchase... as long as it's done and he is fully recovered BEFORE he leaves to come home. I am looking for a little male who has spent lots of time with his current family... is well socialized with older children and pets... has experienced different environments (outings, playdates, meet-ups, car rides - this sort of thing, in order to be able to easily adapt to our large furfamily without serious anxiety or behavioral issues).... I have no preference with regard to coat color, though I do prefer the coat to be of the silk type rather than "cottony" or "wooly". Registration affiliation or having the "perfect show quality animal" is irrelavent... I am much more concerned with temperament and the ability to adjust to a very social (both human and canine) environment. I am willing to accept certain "issues" if need be, such as additional house training that may be necessary in order to properly adjust - or working with a very "vocal" guy who may need some work with "basic manners".... but there should be NO AGGRESSION ISSUES WHATSOEVER, whether with people or pets.... I am willing to address MINOR health concerns... but he should be in good general health overall. I would require a minimal 1 year written health guarantee covering life threatening / life altering illness not relating to environmental conditions - and a minimal 2 year written guarantee against congenital / genetic "defects". Feel free to contact me if you feel you may have a lil' guy who could be a good fit for our family! Thanks!
