| Please help..desperately looking for a Yorkie to love!!! Hello everyone, my name is Jessica....I'm new to YorkieTalk...I'm so glad that I have stumbled across this.....I have been searching for a Yorkie to love for about 4 years now....I am being as patience as ever...but nothing has quite worked out. In this process though I did end up adopting a beautiful 5 lbs. chihuahua named Zoe. She is just the sweetest thing ever....but in my heart I still want a Yorkie to love. I do have a 4 year old daughter and a 9 year old son. They are very good with Zoe's small size and are careful of her. I don't have a lot of money for a Yorkie...only about 250 or 300...that's it. I am willing to travel about 3 or 4 hours from me to pick up my new baby. I try to adopt but most rescues wont adopt to me because of my children's ages. If anyone could please help me finally fill my heart...hopefully for Christmas I would appriciate the help. Thanks! |

| I have seen a few for that price on here before, but they are few and far between. Now that you've posted somebody will see this, and help you out. Welcome to YT.

| Jessica, Hi, welcome to YT. You might want to look at some of the rescues. There are so many great babies that need homes - look in the forum for rescues here on yt or check www.petfinder.com -- there were a bunch of puppies about a week or so available somewhere in Michigan & maybe that wouldn't be too far from you

| Just FYI, you may want to check the rules section: We do not allow begging for free puppies or puppies at extreme reduced costs. Yorkies are generally from $500 on up, with most being in the $1000 to $1500 range. Please do not post looking for Yorkies below $500. If your budget for a Yorkie does not allow for $500 or more, you may want to look into Yorkie rescues or adoptions of older Yorkies, as they may be better suited to your price range. |

| Bama Give the girl a break. She wasn't begging... she was asking. She said she would take a rescue. It was one thing if she was wanting an AKC and begging a breeder to give her that deal... which is what I interpreted the rules to mean. She was saying... if you know of a puppy ... breeder... rescue that would allow her to get one w/ her kids ages...let her know. That is the only way some people who rescue will find people. I know there are rescuers on here that are deperate to place their dogs... and may after meeting her be fine w/ her kids ages. Give people a break |

You are right, rescue is another option--as explained in the portion of the rules I posted! It explained the average cost of a Yorkie from a breeder and that if you have less than that to try rescue. What I quoted was basically the same thing that you just stated, only worded differently... She was directed to the rescue section--hopefully her search is progressing towards finding her furbaby. | |
