You have training fees anywhere from 25-45 Dollars a session You have boarding fees anywhere from 10-25 Dollars a day You have grooming Fees Entry Fees You have Handling fees (Each handler sets their own and it is based on everytime you dog goes in the ring and then goes up from their I mean if your dog goes BOB or it places in the group ring, etc. You also have traveling expenses for your handler. There is Trey Pitman and Wagner Fernandez up your way Fernandez is in Knightston, CA Pitman is in Orangevale, CA

| I'm curious about this too. Could I add, how much on average does it take a handler to finish a dog? I know it's a personal question but someone once told me she spent about $3000 to finish her dog and I wondered if that was the norm? |

| Handlers are professionals and can finish a good dog very quickly. All breed handlers are probably the less expensive, since they show several breeds and their clients share the expenses. However, in my opinion, if I were to use a a handler it wouldn't be an all breed handler. I'd prefer one that specializes in Toy Breeds or better yet one that is more familiar in handling the yorkie breed. Some handlers fees are more than others. It depends on who they are and how much they're in demand. You can cut down expenses if you're handling the dog yourself. Sharing traveling expenses, hotel rooms, etc. Either way showing/breeding is an expensive endevor. But, if it's your passion, you'll figure out a way to do it. Yeah! You can spend $3,000 and upward to finish a dog. Choose your handler wisely, make sure you visit their facility, so that you can get an idea how your dog will be treated and where it will be housed. Most prefer that the dog remain with them while being shown. Reason is that they must bond with the dog and become one. Handing over a dog at ringside doesn't always work. As most newbies haven't a clue on how to raise a show dog and can ruin them for the ring.

| I forgot to add each dog is different as to what it costs to finish if. If it's a great speciman of the breed it can be finished in no time and be not that expensive. There are also other contributing factors.....competition, Major Shows, etc. If the dog gets all it's single points up front, the entry fees can get expensive because your taking a chance on finding thos Majors
