Okay people, anyone back yet??? Want news!! Hope those that went today got to meet "Mardeline". Mary was showing her little girl there, probably in Bred By or 12 - 18mos. I know it's 2 hours earlier there, but I'm anxious.

I didn't see the info about the specialty show; darn.

but I am going tomorrow (Friday) for the Yorkies show.

Sorry...I didn't get home until about 10:30 last night, and a couple of people were still there when I left

. I think Misty may have seen the lady you're referring to. She mentioned that 1 lady was there showing her dogs from YT. I had to work, so I couldn't make it there until 3:30 - just AFTER they ended the show and started taking down the few vending booths. There were 4 of us there from YT, and we signed 1 new member up while we were there. Let's see...there was:

Misty - mistyinca
Rosie - lovmyyorkie
Raquel - chuey
Myself (Lisa) - Sukoshi's Mom

and then while we were there, Raquel hopped on her laptop and signed up Debbie - dwerten - Welcome Debbie!

Since everything was over by the time we arrived (I think Misty was the only one who saw everything), we just went to the bar for some drinks and good girl chat before dinner. Then, after dinner, we got to see Neil Diamond perform (ok...so it was just a personator with really big hair), and we got in trouble from the other tables for being too loud

(excuse us for wanting to get to know each other!) Then, they had an auction and raffle. It was a nice time, but I'm really looking forward to going back on Saturday for ALL the vendors!!!!!

I've posted a couple pics for those who couldn't go. The first one is of Rose, myself (Lisa), Misty, and Raquel (in that order), and the second one is really bad, but it's the best I could get of Neil Diamond since I didn't have my good camera with me.

I did!! I saw her name in the program, and looked for the corresponding arm band. I got to meet Mary; I was so surprised for her to be there! She was showing Tolula, who is an absolute GORGEOUS yorkie (plus, I got to hold her)!! Mary is a lovely and kind person and so knowledgeable about yorkies!

So glad you got to meet her! She has become such a good friend and mentor, just wish she hadn't moved so far away..

Yes, Talulah is a very special little girl and is really doing well to be so young and Mary IS a very kind and knowledgeable lady and lots of fun. Hope all you California people can get to know and love her the way we do here in Texas.

hey...Those of you going on Saturday, did you see on the coupon that it says "no dogs unless pre-entered in the show"?

I was planning on bringing Chloe. ARe you all sure we can do it?

Actually, most show say no dogs unless they are entered. It just depends on the people running the show. Some are nice and don't really mind since it's a good way to introduce a young puppy to the noise and activity that goes on. Then there are some, that will tell you to take your dog out. It's hard to tell. If your dog is in coat, or could possible pass for one that was entered, you might give it a shot. Guess this didn't help much...Sorry..

I just came to this thread right now to print out the coupon, so I haven't seen it yet to read the thing about no dogs. I KNOW Corinne said she took Jazzie last year, so I don't know!!!! I'll PM her or give her a call, and we'll let you know our plan. I was planning on bringing Sukoshi too!

I took my 10 pound Jazzie last year and no one said anything... I don't think it will be a problem it was really relaxed.

Just tuck her in a carrier if you're worried. I had Jazzie on a leash and just walked in.

It's set up like the OC Market Place, just a booth to buy the ticket and you walk inbetween the barrier opening.

I'm still taking Jen, if it looks like they are checking credentials, I'll just put her in her carrier.

I'm bringing Chloe in the stroller I got. She loves the stroller already, and we've only cruised it through the living room!

! We took Sukoshi for a walk around the neighborhood and to the mall in hers tonight, and she did really well as we walked (lots to see), but she got a little fussy when we stopped and she was just sitting there. She definitely likes the movement - the wind in her hair! Tomorrow will be the true test. It will be a long day for her!
