Show in 2 weeks! Boy, after what a great job Kimberely did - I do not know if I can do that great! My 2 yorkies are entered only in the 9-under 12 months. But I just checked numbers and there will be 28 yorkies competing on Sat. and 30 on Sunday. 28 Sat. 12, 15, 1-0 30 Sun. 12, 17, 1-0 I did go to a handling class with Pepe last night and the instructor thought I was a pro - have been showing a long time. I use to show a little back in the 80's, but had my handler show most of the time. I am planning to try and do this all by myself this time. I think we did great last night only because Pepe is so good. She loved his gait and rear and especially his face. He is still moves a bit on the table and will stand on lead on the floor for awhile, but his limit is about 5 minutes to hold a stance than he startes to turn back to look at the dog behind him. So more practice is needed. And now Easy is in heat. I am just hoping she will done before the show. When I entered her - nothing. She is in her 2nd week now. I will have to pull her if she is not finished. There goes that money. I will be sooo embarassed if we don't get a win now. And it will be a miracle if we do with them both being pups still and so many entered. Great job Kimberley! T.

showing Good Luck...the first time I showed a puppy we got first place. I went home and showed off my ribbon..little did my husband know there was only one in our class...but the judge does have the option of withholding a ribbon and I have seen it done, so I was proud. LOL I saw an exhabitor get a 4th place when she was the only one in the class.. You will do just fine..

Best of luck in your showing! Those are pretty large classes, and you should not feel embarased if you don't win. Especially since you are not as experienced as some will be. But everyone has to start somewhere, and there is no time like the present. I'm proud of you! When you win you will have something to really be proud of. (You notice I am saying "when" you win, not "if" you win. I have faith in you. We YTers stick by each other!)

Thank you all! I was kinda hoping for points. I think for female -it will be like a 5 point major and male 4 point major for wins probably, but with this many dogs - who knows? At least it will be good experience and they are still puppies. Jaspermom - here are photos of my female (you probably have seen them) first two and one of my male in the last shot. He is in oil here so his coat looks darker and finer. Thanks you guys! T. Last edited by topknot; 01-24-2006 at 05:14 PM.

It's the Rose Cluster in Atlanta in the Atlanta Exposition Center South off of 1-285 and Hwy 54 South Exit on Conley Road. I don't know yet what ring or show times yorkies are. I still have to check. It would be great to see some YT people there. T.

| So you can show a bitch in heat? I just thought common thought was no. I have looked all through the catalog and nothing in there about not showing if in heat. If I can show her - please let me know. I can keep her away in her kennel till ring time. She will be in her 3rd week - finishing up. T. P.S. Ring times are 1:20 Saturday and 1:30 Sunday. Ring 8 both days. There is also show times on Friday too, but I need to work - so I will not be there Friday. I am a teacher for gifted children, so I can't miss work.
