I think that if you want to be a pro handler then you should look seriously at qualifying for that title in the AKC and CKC programs.

| You really need to finish one of your own dogs first or have someone (a pro) mentor you for awhile. It takes a long time to build up a reputation and prove you can finish a dog, before most people will place a dog with you. |

| Get a decent Yorkie and show it, winning is not the most important thing for you now. Go, show, learn and keep doing it until you can finish your own dogs. I would never hire a handler who has not finished quite a few...unless you are not charging me. LOL |

YT 1000 Club Member | I just wanted to tell ya that everyone her has given you great advice. I am fairly new to showing and right now I have 2 UKC finished Champions that I also showed in AKC shows as well didn't get any point but I did learn more than I knew from the beginning. I love the people I have met and they have helped me tremendously. Right now I am currently waiting on a new boy to see how he turns out. Hopefully he becomes my next showdog. But I can say this, I love showing. My goals for at least the next 5 years are to finish my own dog in AKC myself and to have a bred by that I finsh on my own also.
