What Wins Where? Since moving to Florida I have learned the type pup I placed in pet homes in Maryland is the type they love in the ring here. Smaller, very dark, not much neck or leg. So opposite from the East coast Yorkie. What is the type Yorkie that wins in your area..?

In several dogshows I went , I saw Yorkies with long legs and splendid coats . The coats vary from medium to dark . Medium color coats win often .

Olivier, who is that? Cute baby! Winning here:Up on leg is a favorite and more towards the lighter coats, but not too light. Face seems to be real important to the judges lately. Here are some photo wins of the last Atlanta shows - Cherokee CLusters. You can check out the wins at any show from the show catalog on line - results of the shows link. It is a great way to check who won when you can't be at a show. Great way also to learn what judges like what type of dog. T.

I can't say that a specific type is winning in my area at this time. There have been such a diverse selection of Judges that it has kept us on our toes. I have seen little guys win and the next day a dog that is close to 6 1/2 pounds- depends on which handlers are in the ring. There is a lot that goes into the kettle to get that win. We are hunting for our second major at this time.
