| Kristena~~~Carlybaby Has anyone heard from Kristina? I noticed she isn't a member any longer. Does anyone know if something happened? She was just here less than a week ago. I put Carlybaby in the title because I think you keep in contact. |

| You're right Connie, she didn't. What she did have was a difference of opinion from some of the powers that be....regarding PETA and the Humane Society. Opinions that many of us who have investigated these organizations share. It's a shame to loose valuable exhibitors such as Kristena. I speak with her often so I will pass on you kind words.

WOW! Her thread was deleted because she posted about PETA & the Humane Society? That's just crazy. The whole thread deleted? What happened to free speech and a difference of opinions? What happened to just closing a thread? No one wins when this happens.

I was taught to stand behind your convictions whether others agree or not but there is no need to defend if you strongly believe in it and stand behind what they stand for...this is a "free" country and we are all entitled to believe in what we choose even though others will disagree, doesn't mean I don't like that individual it's just we disagree no more or no less it's called differences of opinions. I know most do not like YTCA but that is ok that is their right but I stand behind what this organization stands for...dont' get me wrong no organization has all upstanding folks but as long as you believe what their purpose is no reason to get so emotionally up in arms about it. What people don't like about the YTCA has nothing to do with me and it doesn't cross the line I've set for myself and as long as it doesn't affect my family or my dogs...people can dislike the YTCA all they want and won't get any arguement from me because I can't control others only myself and my convictions Kristena will be sorely missed with her knowledge and excellent advice and convictions..it's sad others can't handle another's opinion and can't have a more open mind... Administrator | YorkieTalk is privately owned. Being a Donating Member does not give any members any "ownership" of YT or preferential treatment, but it does have its own benefits. Only the government is prohibited from restricting speech. Because YT is privately owned, speech can be restricted in any way that YT sees fit. If someone posts something inflammatory or negative towards YT or any member, we can delete it as we own YT, the server it resides on, and the database. We try not to restrict speech, but there are times that it is unavoidable. Threads may be closed or deleted by moderators or admins for any reason. Usually they are closed or deleted because it goes against YT rules or some other kind of problem. Threads are never closed or deleted for no reason. YT tries to be as neutral as possible and we do not close threads because we have a particular opinion on a subject. If we see 5 new (or active) threads on the same subject, we may close 4 of the threads as we try to avoid redundancy. If posts or threads were not restricted in any way here at YorkieTalk, there would be the possibility of a ton of personal attacks, hate speech, and many other problematic issues. As this is a community site, we want to keep the atmosphere friendly, and often times, heated threads turn into huge arguments and name-calling, which leads to suspensions and or banned users, which we try to avoid. We have tried in the past to keep hotly-debated threads open, but it never works. It always turns out ugly. So threads may be closed before that happens. It makes YT members and YT itself look bad when someone that is a new (a new member or potential new member) is on YorkieTalk for the first time sees a bunch of name-calling and childish behavior. This is what we are trying to avoid as we want to make this as friendly and welcoming a community as possible, though undoubtedly problems will still happen at times. Thank you for your feedback. |
