Default Maybe??? Just Maybe??/

This is a girl of mine that I have been watching. I thought she was going to be too dark. She finally started to turn when she was 14 months old. I think I may have underestimated her. Hmmmmmm I going to have to start paying closer attention to her, she may surprize me.

What do you think?

Please keep in mind, this girl has little coat care. I did not plan on showing her because her coat was so dark and she seem to be timid. Boy was I wrong. She did great at conformation class last night. She has never had oil on her coat. I used Puppy shampoo on her and she has chewed her furnishings all because I didn't think she would lighten up and her temperament. Maybe with some TLC I can get her coat in shape.
Here are a few more pictures from today.

I never take another one for granted. You never know what you might be missing.

She has a gorgeous blue and tan!

I am not a big fan of her face (she appears to have a down-muzzle) but if all else falls into place I dont think that will hold her back.

How old is she?

I love her blue and tan also and I think she's going to have fabulous color and nice size, however, I agree with Bravo on the face and looks to me maybe alittle low tail set but I'd hang on to see how she develops. Her topline is good as I can see but I'd worry more about the tail set. Of course this is from a picture not in person. Hard to judge from a picture and not be able to have hands on

Just wanted to add the caveat that I am young and still new to this whole conformation thing so its JMO

I can show a nice dog that falls into my lap but still have SOOOOO MUCH to learn

I am sure some experienced YT'ers will hop in and give their opinions

Hey Girl, She is 18 months old. I feel bad because I really counted her out too early. Here are some of her face, I really can't do a topknot very well so don't hold that against her... LOL But her coat is just pure silk ribbons. I can hardly hold her she is so slippery. I can't imagine what it would be like if I would have been keeping up with her coat care. She has a perfect bite, topline is nice, ears need a trim right now but are nice also. And That Coat!!!

Hey Donna,
Girl, I haven't talk to you.....I won't be showing Stryker. I lost his bite. I was SICK...seriously just sick. It went south as he was growing and just 2 top teeth set back behind the lower. The Vet dentist said it would not get better. I was so upset. Barbara Gillis helped me place him with a family as a pet. He will be living with a Doctor and his wife. I did get a nice boy from Canada, I hope to show him as soon as I get his papers.

But this little girl is really coming along nicely. I am going to have to watch her. So far not to bad.
Pam

Her coat is gorgeous--no question about that. It looks very similar to my little ones coat and if grows anything like his, she'll be fully coated in a flash if you take care of it.

How is her front/back and movement?

Donna is right...its SOOO hard to evaluate without putting your hands on the dog!

I was looking for a pic of a head to show you what I was talking about but this is all I could find. The muzzle needs to be at a 90* angle from the stop.

If she's got everything else and a little attitude that will go a long way

I see what you talking about with the muzzle. I was at conformation class and Tim told me that she looked good and she did pretty good her first time in the ring. Her furnishing are pretty beat up so her muzzle shows even more. I hope with some coat care I'll have more to work with in the front. Her muzzle won't look as noticable with some furnishings and a topknot pulled forward. But she really moves well, her tail is up when she walks. She just has a small muzzle too. Sort of a fox face. She really needs that hair around her face. But I definately need to watch her. The coat is definately pure silk.

Hi Pam,

I hope you don't mind my jumping in here. I agree with Kristena on her head. Her ear set is a bit eastie westie and her ears appear to be on the taller side. From the pic by pool side, her tail set does appear to be low, and that is judging from the picture.....if it is low, then it may very well affect her rear......and movement.

LOL I suppose I should have trimmed her ears before our impromptu photo session. LOL We went to conformation class last night. Tim Robbins watched her moved, checked her bite and topline. He said definately bring her back. Here are a few more of her. She has the straightest topline of all my dogs. She is in my photo album and you can see it's very staight. She was standing on a wobbly table as I held her tail with one hand and the camera with the other. She has never even been on a table. She was scared to death , Poor baby. Then we went outside where I chased her with the camera.. she wasn't pleased with our day at all. She is avoiding me still. I'm going to have our club members take a look at her next week. In the mean time I'm going to continue to work with her. I believe the lack of furnishings make her face very prominent. I'm not counting her out yet.

I hope she turns out Good Luck!
Sorry to hear about Styker but I'm glad he's in a great pet home! That is the best part when they go to a good home

Opps forgot the pics, I have never had anyone tell me her ear set was off. Maybe it was because she was scared or they needed to be cut. But thats a new one. These are pics from our family album, Kristena you can see her face was better when her furnishings were longer. When she is watching me her topline is perfect. But I need her evaluated by my handler, she has just been hiding here at home while I go to the shows....My bad. She not staying home with Daddy any longer...

Make sure your handler is breed specific because handlers will tell you what you want to hear it's their lively hood. A good handler can take a pepsi can dressed as a yorkie and finish it I've been told that by one of the best yorkie handlers in the USA It's all money so make sure you get a breed specific handler JMO
