| Question A member here has a pup about 8 wks and is worried her ears will not go up and I pm'd her Teri Shumsky's method. What type of tape should she use? I would assume paper How long do you leave it on? (Do you take it off and on at all) I have never done this before but I have heard people say they like Teri's method.....since she is deceased, I have come to you. Anything else you can offer her would be appreciated to help.

| I use masking tape. I leave it on for three days then off for a few days then back on for three more if needed. Sometimes you have to reinforce the tape. |

| I have never taped ears but I have been told that freezer tape works good and also surgical tape. Leave on for 3 day and take off. |

| Just that they were shaving the inside of the ears and peeling off the backing (just like we do to put on our noses at night to breath) and putting them in the full length inside the ear.

| Yes, the vet can remove the puppy teeth. Most of the time they will fall out on their own if the puppy has something to chew but if you are planning on showing her your might want to go ahead and take to the vet. I let my puppies chew on cow ears and cow hooves. |

| This method has been used in the Dobe world for a while. It is excellent in the final stages of ear posting to keep the tips erect. Works like a charm in Dobes so it makes great sense to give it a try in Yorkies. |

| It is just tape sold for taping wrapping paper used for meat and other food put in the freezer. It is usually in the grocery section where they keep the plastic wrap, tinfoil, and freezer wrapping paper. |

| I found some nice cloth tape that doesn't stick too their hair and I did Mia's ears last night using your method. She was not very happy but it stayed on overnight. I am just going to leave it on for up to 3 days at a time. I don't mind having to repeat taping them. It was easy to do. Thanks for your help! yorkie Mia |
