Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | Show bows? I have a question when showing dogs does it matter if the bows have a barrette or rubber bands? Reason why I am asking is because I am going to start making show bows. And don't want to waste people time or my material if it is not accepted. Thanks.

| Well from the show bow websites I've seen they do offer french clips so I think it is just your personal preference. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | There are specifics for show bows...I'd shoot a pm to Brooklynn.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Couldn't tell you. What you see aired is the best of show catagory...meaning the breeds being shown in the ring won best of their breed which isn't televised. If they are shown in the ring...they have already been chosen as best of breed at Westminister. Usually closer to the date....you can find out how many animals are showing for a particular breed.

| Most exhibitors use the rubber bands, but there are a few that find the clips easier to use. Its completely up to the exhibitor. You can also watch the Breed judging at Westminster online usually the day after they compete. The Specialty is just before Westminster and you will usually find even more entered there. A lot of people choose not to go to the Garden since it is a benched show.

| Yes, it is completely up to the exhibitor which they prefer. I personally like the barrettes. i am fumble fingers and can do just do better. There is a gal in Thialand or Phillipines that offers a whole bag of the prettiest red show bows, all different styles for about 20 dollars plus shipping or somewhere around that. they are so nice and a great bargin |
